“Just wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

We've stayed here twice. Once in 2009 and once in 2010. We went to Detroit with a group of friends for the annual "Theatre Bizarre" halloween party. I loved the charm of the rooms/buildings and the breakfast in the morning was amazingly delicious! I had fresh food, eggs and fresh made waffles! The security for our parked vehicles was nice and the free shuttle service was amazing and even made a late night stop for us at McDonalds! The rooms are clean and comfortable and the bathrooms are nice and spacious. Plus the complimentary cookies are delicious. We will definately be staying here anytime we are in Detroit.

“Charming and Romantic Weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

We stayed here one night while in Detroit to see a band play at the Magic Stick. We've stayed in bed and breakfasts throughout the U.S., Europe and the Caribbean. The Inn on Ferry Street ranks in my top three favorites so far. The staff were friendly and helpful. Each room is unique and tastefully decorated. Some have whirlpool tubs and/or fireplaces - - all steeped in tradition but with modern conveniences. I loved the over stuffed leather chair, ottoman, and comfortable bed. The restoration on these Victorian homes and Carriage houses is incredible and the common areas are stunning. The neighborhood feels very safe and the secure parking is a great bonus. Next time, we will stay for a weekend and pair it with dinner at The Whitney.

Room Tip: Each room is unique, so they offer on-line options for room features and preferences.

“second visit to this outstanding inn”

This is return visit for me, and I can continue to enthusiastically recommend this inn. The decor in the common area and the in the rooms is tasteful. The rooms are large and well appointed. The staff is helpful and the shuttle bus service is a big plus. The breakfast buffet is generous with lots of fresh fruit and waffles, eggs, pastry and great coffee. Excellent !

“Detroit's Finest”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

Inn of Ferrry is easily one of finest B&B's we have ever stayed in. The staff is uniformly warm and gracious. The rooms was well appointed and well maintained. The free shuttle service is outstanding. Both our drivers - David and Steve were outstanding. They both know the city and give great tour info with their ride. The desk workers,(for us - Michelle and Domonique) were arm, wellcoming, adn extremely helpful.
The breakfast was more than ample and served in a lovely settting. The breakfast staff keeps the room clean and atttractively presents the food.
The Inn is only a 1/2 block off Woodward and just a block North of the Detroit Institute of Art.
We attended a New Years Eve performance of Wicked at the Detroit Opera House - it was great being drooped at the front door in plenty of time to get seated and then being picked up after without having to fight traffic ourselves.
Inn on Ferry is a reason to go to Detroit - we will only stay here when we next attend any event in Detroit.

“Safe, cosy inn on a beautiful street”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

Make a long story short: this inn is on a beautiful street, there are 3 old houses with lovely quiet rooms and very helpfull staff. The breakfast is great and you have big midcentury style living-rooms where you can read something or drink a wine with your friends. Excellent hotel.
