I stayed at this hotel during the Detroit Auto Show and was pleasantly surprised. The wifi in the room is decent, the staff helpful and the beds comfortable. It's a shame that the rooms don't have HDTV, but I was still able to watch whatever I wanted.

I was also pleasantly surprised about the fact that the fitness room is a real fitness room. the equipment is up to date and the pool is a decent pool. This is probably the first hotel that advertises a real fitness room and delivers on that promise - as opposed to those that claim a fitness room and offer two machines and a treadmill.

Not a lot of food options around, but that's because it's downtown Detroit. If traveling for business, i recommend this hotel. It had covered access to the Renaissance Center as well as to the people mover.

this is a great hotel. the location worked our perfectly for us. our room was ready upon arrival, a suite on the 19th floor. views of the river & GM building. the staff was helpful and accomodating. we will be back to this hotel.

We had 2 rooms at this hotel for New Years Eve. Rooms were very spacious and clean They had security at the elevators for our security. RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET IS THE REN CEN WHICH HAS A FOOD COURT AND STARBUCKS. We did not eat at the cage at the hotel. One reason we picked this hotel is because they had a pool for the kids and a Detroit People Mover stations right inside the hotel. No walking the streets at night. They have a small store by the front desk with drinks and snacks. But there is also a small store in the office comples connected to the hotel that has beer, wine and other stuff. We stay downtown Detroit quite often, and would have to say this hotel offers the most amenities as far as the Ren Cen food court, pool, Starbucks, DPM station, store, flower shop etc all under one roof. There are some hotels. closer to Ford FIELD/COAMERICA with all the amenities it is the best place to stay. We had a beautiful view of the Detroit River and Canada from our room. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THE VALET TOOK ALMOST AN HOUR TO GET OUR CAR. I do have to say though that our valet parking was only $20 for over night. We stayed at the Milner and Hilton recently and our parking was $45 for the night for self parking. So $20 for our parking was a great deal.

We chose to stay at this facility to have a night out in the town. It is close to restuarants, casino's, and the people mover.
The room itself and the property were nice and clean. The bed was comfortable and had plenty of pillows. The tolietries were adequate. The room aslo came with a refridgerator and safe.
The issues we had occured with the employees. The workers at the front desk were nice enough. They just didn't seem to have much training. We had an issue with our package that we purchased and went through several people who all appeared quite clueless on how to fix the situation. When we asked to speak to a manager we were told there wasn't one available.
The bar/cafe seemed to have the same lack of training but only worse. We waited over 20mins for our bill and we were one of 4 couples at the bar. The bartender was very nice but flustered easily and could not handle multitasking. We actually felt sorry for her.
The breakfast "buffet" had to be one of the worse we have ever come across. It took 3 times of asking to even get beverages. Each time the waitress looked at us like we were aliens. The food was not even edible. My husband and I both walked out of there hungy. And that was after we waited a very long time for our bill. We could hear other patrons complaining around us as well.
The hotel has great potential but I think the staff needs more training and experience.
We are not fussy people but were saddened by our experience.
