“Can you say... Bedbugs ?!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 December 2011

Checked-in last night and everything seemed to be just fine? Returned for my second night of stay and while watching some TV while sitting on the bed, I saw a small insect crawling on the wall next to the bed. With a closer look I suspected a bed bug. Called the front desk and asked for them to come up immdiately. Five minutes later, a knock at the door and the young lady came in, took one look and said "Ooooh, yeah that's what you think it is. A bed bug. We will have the room treated tomorrow by an insect control firm." She then promptly grabbed a tissue, killed th bug, flushed it and then asked if I'd like to move to a different room? Really? How do I know that the entire hotel isn't infested and I'll be bitten and my suitcase infested overnight so I can take them home with me?

I considered going to a different hotel but how do you know that the next one doens't have the same issue? I accepted to move to a different room and was offered a free breakfast in the morning. Seriously? A $10 free breakfast? How about no? Awful. Just plain awful.

“Hospitality Plus”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 December 2011

My daughters, husband and I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott to attend a close family member's funeral in Dearborn. The staff was aware of the reason for our stay and they were exceptionally sensitive and accommodating to our needs. In fact, when my husband arrived for check-in, Robin at the desk expressed her condolences! Both Robin and her co-worker were extremely helpful and Darlena who made the reservation was outstanding! Due to circumstances beyond the staff's control, we could not stay in the suite that we had reserved but the staff went out of their way to immediately respond and make our stay comfortable. Our two adjoining rooms were very clean, comfortable and quiet. The only downside (minor issue) is that the faucet in the bathtub is getting old and needs some maintenance. Even though the hotel was full that night, we did not hear any noise or disruption during the night. Because the hotel is used by business travelers who are most likely in Dearborn to do business with Ford (world headquarters are nearby), the hotel was quiet and subdued. We will definitely return again but hopefully under more happy circumstances.

Room Tip: We found the rooms on the first floor, 139 and 141, to be very comfortable because they are close (b...

“Excellent place to stay in Dearborn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 December 2011

A great place to stay in Dearborn. It's safe and clean and comfortable. The front desk staff (Robin (daytime) and Jackie (nights) are 10 out of 10 for customer service and friendliness. We have stayed there many times while visiting aging parents. We like the genuine helpfulness of the staff and the comfortable king size beds for a good night's sleep. The breakfast is buffet is all American style with friendly waitresses.
The weekend sports teams have not been a problem for us. If traveling without children, ask for a room far away from the pool and not on the first floor. The lobby has free wifi and is a comfortable place to work at night.
A safe place to stay.

Room Tip: Second and third floor are the most quiet.

“Nice Place to Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 November 2011

Nice hotel with clean rooms, the service is very good, just be sure not to take a room near the elevator it could be noisy on the weekend, since they are very busy with groups for sports, etc.
We stayed many times in this area in the past and many hotels seems to have problems on the weekends with noise from parties and/or noise from the swimming pool, this hotels seems to control these problems much better than many if not all of the other hotels we tried in the
past. The breakfast is ok but it could better and the price for the breakfast may be higher than what it should be, we tried it and they where very busy with big sport group, the waiter we have and her name was layla was extremely nice and helpfull for our table. Over all this is a good htoel to stay in there.

Room Tip: Avoid staying near the elevator or near swimming pool if you don't like noise at night over the...

“Great Stay for Hockey Team”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

Stayed weekend with boys hockey team (12yr olds). Great stay w/ no problems.
Staff were above & beyond normal customer service and understood what it is like to try to keep 16 rowdy boys occupied and happy. Offered use of conference room for free to keep kids happy and together (out of halls).
Highly recommend to any teams looking for decent hotel with staff that understand what it is like to travel with teams.

Even comp'd a free buffet breakfast each morning to save us time & $$.
