There were two good points about my stay: The bed was comfortable and no road noise. Super 8 does what they can to make a cheap motel look fancy. However, they go out of their way with gaudy furniture which doesn't match and deeply shaded rooms. When the sun is let in, it becomes appearant why. My sink had age old stains reminisant of a time 30 years in the past, when it was ancient, even then. The floor was uneven and had definitive gaps which can only be explained by poor repairs by either water damage or renivation from a moved wall. Walking around in socks and slippers was painfull. I was disappointed to find the motel was more than 4 miles from I75 and nearly as far from any decent sized store. But to top it off, the place has a feel to it too. If you are a sensitive, beware. Though, there were a number of mom & pop restruarnts within walking distance.

Made somewhat of an impromptu get-a-way in my state of Michigan and decided to room at this locale after reviewing their franchise affiliates and quest comments. After finding the reviews to be positive, located near major retail stores, restaurants and major roads and highly considering their reduced weekly rates, I packed and went with confidence ! Well, I arrived to be greeted pleasantly by guest service, I immediately inspected the room for any "unpleasantries" if you know what I mean, but found the bed, furniture and bathroom to be VERY CLEAN and intact. All the cable channels were available and clear, the free wifi was convenient to tap into initially although there were some weak signal issues that was frustrating to get on the web but was resolved a day or two later that more than made up for the downtime and ran REALLY FAST. Throughout my 4-5 day stay, at times it was so quiet I thought I was in the building by myself, no disruptions. The bathroom was immaculate and the fixtures were operational. I experienced a very nice stay and HIGHLY RECOMMEND this locale should you be traveling the area. GO FOR IT !!

Recently stayed at this propery after reading reviews. The front desk person was very courteous. The room was clean. The property is in a convenient location, just a few miles from downtown Birmingham, MI. Had your basic continental breakfast. Great value.

Good choice for the busy schedule traveler, good accomodations and nice rest. Proximity of main business destinations in the area of Troy. Affordable rates, clean and neat rooms make it a perfect stay, without having to deal with traffic and road delays.
