My sister and I found Erica and staff to be warm, friendly and helpful during a recent stay in Michigan, You don't always find the personal touch when traveling, and this particular trip was already laden with sadness as we were attending a memorial service due to a death in the family. This Super 8 hotel had all the comforts of home, and staff went above and beyond their call of duty: whether it be supplying fresh towels or directions to the local markets. (Whole Foods is just blocks away). Delicious breakfast available every a.m. and free wi-fi. We will definitely be back!

I chose the Super 8 because it had great rates for the area. The staff was friendly. I missed the breakfast but the Manager Erica gave me a bagel even though it was after 10am. This hotel exceeded my expectations. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a clean place to stay with good rates.

We stayed here after a show at the Royal Oak Theater. The woman who checked us in was very pleasant and gave a choice of what floor our room would be on. The room had a large bed, TV, microwave, fridge and a safe. Internet use was available at the lobby's computer (I think WiFi was also available in the rooms). The carpet was newer and the bed, while firm, was comfortable. We heard street and hall noise, but by turning the fan, our sleep wasn't disturbed. Bagels, cereal, and danishes greeted us for breakfast. There were no meat products, but you could make your own waffles.

We were very satisfied with our stay and wouldn't have a problem returning.

There were two good points about my stay: The bed was comfortable and no road noise. Super 8 does what they can to make a cheap motel look fancy. However, they go out of their way with gaudy furniture which doesn't match and deeply shaded rooms. When the sun is let in, it becomes appearant why. My sink had age old stains reminisant of a time 30 years in the past, when it was ancient, even then. The floor was uneven and had definitive gaps which can only be explained by poor repairs by either water damage or renivation from a moved wall. Walking around in socks and slippers was painfull. I was disappointed to find the motel was more than 4 miles from I75 and nearly as far from any decent sized store. But to top it off, the place has a feel to it too. If you are a sensitive, beware. Though, there were a number of mom & pop restruarnts within walking distance.
