Upon arrival, one of the extended stay intoxicated construction workers called my wife a "white trash biker". Luckily I was not there and she did not tell me about it until later. On vacation with friends. Sitting on front lawn enjoying the nice weather in the "early" evening, talking, laughing and just having a relaxed, good time. Owner came out and told us to quiet down. We eventually were told to go to our rooms because the owners were afraid we would bother someone. Only ones bothered were us. Owners were very nice but this is a place for someone who wants to sleep and nothing else.

They now have free wireless internet and its fast. I stayed here recently and I enjoyed my stay. They were closed for the 2009 winter months. I think they reopened in March. (July 2010)

Next time I go up north I will stay at the Arcadian Motel ,its quiet,clean and cheap. The owners are very kind. The only thing I didn't like is they didn,t have wireless internet. I could not use my wireless laptop. I told the owner and he said he is in the process of getting it. This motel is my first choice and my second choice the White house Motel in Mohawk. There is very little to choose from in the Calumet area,most have closed up due to the economy. In Sept,2009 the Arcadian owner said he was closing for the winter and would reopen in the spring.

We have stayed here on numerous trips to the U.P. and we LOVE it! The rooms have always been clean on every trip! I know this motel is for sale, and I hope when new owners take over they wont change a thing about this place!
