“Close to everything”

This hotel is convenient to everything, We brought our teenagers to go snowboarding and it was very close to Mount Brighton. It is in the middle of a great shopping area that we took advantage of while the kids were snowboarding. Clean, friendly, comfortable with a great free breakfast that included oatmeal, bagels, eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits, cereal, yogurt and fruit. Would come here again and again.

“The staff went above and beyond our expectations!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 May 2010

We arrived late on a Friday night. The staff was very friendly. The woman at the front desk worked until midnight and then came back in at 5 a.m. to get breakfast ready for all of us heading out extra early for the U of M graduation! Thanks for taking such good care of all of us!

“Courteous, friendly, helpful service was the hallmark of our stay.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 March 2010

I have been pleasantly surprised on my last two visits to Holiday Inns. Our most recent stay was in Brighton, Michigan. We found the facility clean and well maintained, and the customer service was outstanding. Access to the internet was free and simple. The continental breakfast was included in our rate, and it was perfectly sufficient w/ enough options for the diner looking for healthy options. I will now start my hotel searches w/ Holdiay Inn.

“Overpriced hotel”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2009

We were unpleasantly surprised by the poor condition of this hotel. The first room we received by very smoky so we asked for a different one. The only room available non smoking was by the pool area. We paid $126.00 for one night. We really needed a room and felt very taken advantage of. We should have just packed the car back up and looked elsewhere. The room we got must not have been ready to rent out. There was burnt out light bulbs, no ice bucket, no blanket for the pull out sofa. The sofa was full of food and dirt - so disgusting. There was only one lady working the entire night trying to do everything. I felt so bad having to bother her asking for light bulbs, a blanket, and an ice bucket. I was walking back and forth to the front desk and waiting for the one lady working to get the light bulbs, etc. so I could get our room in order so we could be comfortable. They really need more staff. The pool was okay. It was on the cold side so I couldn't handle swimming in it. I just watched the kids swim. There were tons of other kids and it was quite rowdy and noisy. They were throwing balls, etc. Not the place for a relaxing night. The breakfast was nothing special - just standard express breakfast. There are much nicer, cleaner places to stay in the area for a much better price. I would avoid this hotel.

“Kid friendly, VERY noisy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 March 2008

Booked this room after a gymnastics tournament. Arrived around 9:00 pm. The pool was packed. There is an atrium that overlooks the pool and it is extremely loud. We had a 2 queen bed suite on the 2nd floor so the sound carried upwards, everything was clean, but might suggest a room away from the pool. Breakfast was so so, not much of a variety and not nearly enough food was out for the number of people there. This place offers a kid friendly enviroment, but a bit expensive.
