During our stay the hotel was literally overrun and sold out with travel soccer teams, but I will not count these kids' negligent parents against the hotel, which could not prevent them from racing through the halls and making a sty of the breakfast room.
This hotel has had a recent interior refresh including brand new carpeting.
My only gripes related to ALL Hampton Inns, which are:
1) The "luxury bedding package" which is endemic to so many chains now--a fat, sloppy, heavy simulated down comforter which is much too hot any time of year, unless you set the A/C to full blast. I hope this fad will be over soon, because I am tired of remaking my bed every night to get rid of this "bedding albatross."
2) The breakfast, despite the recent addition of a waffle iron, is lackluster. At this hotel, no fresh fruit, very limited selection of low-quality baked goods, and gooey scrambled eggs. I couldn't really advocate much of anything healthy for my teens to eat, as they are beyond their instant-oatmeal years.
Otherwise, this is a clean, conveniently located property that will please the average family or business traveler.
