“Older Hampton Inn, nice rooms and good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

This Hampton Inn is within walking distance to Saint Vincent Hospital and the Union Station area of Worcester where there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. The rooms are nice, typical Hampton Inn. They have a nice breakfast area, warm cookies in the lobby in the evening, and something unique for a Hampton Inn, a manager's reception each night in the breakfast area. Alll the staff were pleasant and kind. Union Station is the train station where Amtrak stops and it is a reasonable walk from the station to the hotel (3-blocks). Exercise room is small but nice with what appears to be newer equipment, with variety. The business center appears to be a storage room at this point; however, they might be just be remodeling it. With the break fast area on the second floor I just worked from there or the comfortable work area in my room. There is no swimming pool, which was not a problem (winter time); however, if you are looking for kid enterainment, keep this in mind.

Our first time in Worcester. We went to see Bob Seegar at the DCU Center. Hotel was within walking distance of both the Center and lots of nice restaurants and bars. Very convenient being right off the interstate. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay there again.

“Tired”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2011

Very old rooms, I was put in an ADA room (103) cushions on chairs dirty, extension leads on all outlets, very tired in need of complete renovation.

Room Tip: Ask if they have any recently refurbished rooms

“NOT MY BODILY FLUIDS!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 November 2011 via mobile

The big fly swarming over us should have been enough of a sign that it was going to be a long night!   We stayed in room 202 and the floor looks like a dorm setup which was kind of cool.  I later found out that this is the floor they serve complimentary breakfast.  The room was very nice upon first glance.  The closets are very small and there was yet another fly but this one was dead in the window sill.  The room smelled clean, almost the smell of a pool.  The bathroom has to be one of the cleanest I have ever been in.  The light bulb in the reading nook was broken and kind of hanging and the wires were exposed, which could be a safety hazard.   Once again I found hairs in my bed.  I took pics this time.  The manager on duty, Neil, took my concerns very seriously and when I came back from dinner he was sending someone up to change the sheets.  While I waited I pulled back the sheets only to be horrified to find a bloodied dried up sticky like substance.  I immediately went back downstairs and he sent someone up Luis I believe was his name.  This poor guy had no idea what his night would hold.  As he got ready to change the linen, there was another bloodied, dried up sticky like substance on the comforter.  I was actually told by a staff member that this happens all the time.  They moved me to room 404 which yet again I found a hair in one of the beds.   I would not stay at this hotel again nor would I recommend it to anyone.  By the way this was not my choice for our stay but forced to stay here due to cheer competition.  On the other hand, the manager on duty, Neil was more than accommodating and so was Luis.

Plain and simple this is not the standards we all set forth for the hotel and the Hampton Inn Brand. I would like to apologize on behalf of the entire staff for our shortcomings. Hampton Inn Worcester is a great hotel to stay at and this situation has been isolated to its effective parties. We are all here to provide excellent customer service, and I welcome all to call me personally should you have any questions or concerns. Again, my apologies.

“Great Halloween Blizzard of 2011”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

We'd booked this hotel for Family Weekend at Holy Cross, and when a foot of snow was predicted, we decided to head back to NJ rather than get stuck. The hotel staff was very helpful in allowing us to depart early without charging us for the second night. Apparently this is a bonus for Hilton Honors members who book directly with the hotel; a very nice perk.
Overall, the hotel has a great location -downtown Worcester, easy highway access. Rooms are comfortable, clean, appointed as promised. Good breakfast. Exactly what we needed

Dear Sir or Madam:

Thank you very much for your feeback on your recent stay with us at our hotel. We hope that you do end up staying with us again in the future and hopefully less snow next time. If you would like to contact me personally to make a new reservation, more than happy to help.
