I took a trip to Woods Hole for a week-long business trip and brought my family (spouse plus 3 kids) along, so we all crammed into a single room with two double beds and a cot. The hotel seems to be a bit old (they still use actual keys!), but the vintage feel is charming, and done well. My one complaint is that our mattress was a bit soft; everything else was just as I'd hoped. The rooms are average size, but very clean with the standard amenities (TV, wireless, bathroom with tub and shower). The porch overlooking the Sound is great. The pool is small but perfect for a quick dip (and for splashing about, if you're a kid). The staff was very helpful. At the start, we asked for a small fridge and they cheerfully accommodated. They were also friendly with small requests during the week. We loved the walking proximity to Woods Hole (which is short on parking), and it's an easy drive to Falmouth. Overall, great value, and if we're back in Woods Hole, we'll check here first!

We just returned from 3 nights--the staff is so friendly and helpful, and the location is great. We loved the village of Woods Hole, only a 5 minute walk. We never had to use our car except to drive into Falmouth one night which was disappointing and we returned to Woods Hole for dinner at the Landfall--great food and waterfront location. Loved the outdoor deck at Shuckers for fancy drinks. There is a breakfast and lunch place right on Water Street, outdoor deck in front, can't remember the name, but has great food. We also had the pool to ourselves most of the time. Noticed the strange setup with the iron attached to the board, but was able to work with it. The cleaning staff is friendly and very efficient--we will definitely go back to Woods Hole and the Sands of Time!

My husband and I arrived at Woods Hole very late on a July 2011 evening .We were tired from a long trip from Europe. Since we were interested in going to Martha's Vineyard we decided to spend the night in this delightful little town. Like I stated we were tired and it was around 11 pm. We paid $229.25 (tax included) for a spacious but old, musty room. The bathroom was tiny and dingy. We were informed that there were dounghts and filter coffee in the foyer in the morning. We should not have accepted the price or at least seen the room before paying such a sum. Live and learn. We went on to stay at much better places for half the price on the Cape. Woods Hole, however, was a great experience. One good thing-the hotel did allow us to leave our car on their premises during our day trip to MV . They were helpful with the ferry timetables and it was possible to buy our ferry tickets there instead of queing at the terminal.

This motel is the perfect lcoation for experiencing classic Cape Cod. It's a short walking distance to shops and restaurants that serve amazing seafood. The ferry to Martha's Vineyard is 3 blocks from the hotel making it very convenient for visiting the island. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The decor is dated, but that provides for an authentice "motor inn" experience. I would definitely stay there again.
