Stayed here on New Years Eve in one of the Barnside Suites and enjoyed one of the best weekend getaways we've experienced. The suite was very clean and romantic, with every detail accounted for, down to the light-dimmers, bath salts, rose on the bed, toiletries and travel brochures on the desk. The bed was comfortable, the jacuzzi bath was super relaxing, and the location was lovely, with the sounds of the stream audible. We loved it here and hope to return in the Spring!

My mother passed away recently and her last wishes were to have the memorial service held in Williamstown, MA (her home town). Fall is a busy time in the Berkshires and I knew finding availability the weekend of October 29th would be difficult. Fortunately, I called the 1896 House and was connected with Denise Richer. She was fantastic in helping me find rooms for family members and plan a lunch after the service at the 6 House Pub on the property. Due to availability, we had family members in the Barnside Suites as well as the Brookside and Pondside motel. All the rooms were clean, nicely appointed, and exactly as the website describes them. We also learned how thoughtful the Inn staff were when we were caught in the early season Noreaster (heavy wet snow storm). The staff provided an emergency kit of candles, food, water, and instructions to the guests. In summary, Denise and her staff ensured we had a great experience under difficult personsal as well as weather circumstances.

We had a very nice stay at this quaint Inn. The restaurant was very good and the Inn was very clean. Would recommend it...
