In the states there has gotten to be this trend to not have decent or simple food for breakfast. Instead, like this Hampton, many perhaps most American hotels now put out a wide selection of inedible, low-quality manufactured foods, and give customers plastic plates and forks to eat with. PLASTIC! It's really horrid, and anyone used to even the crappiest European hotels would be mortified. Also, bad bad coffee. I swear to never rank any hotel that inflicts this on guests higher than 3 stars. The rooms were clean of course though.

I stayed here while attending a meeting at IBM's briefing center. You cannot get a better location for that! The IBM center is across a small bridge... with perhaps a 2 minute walk.

The staff was friendly, the rooms clean. The Wi-Fi was fast... what more can a business traveller want?

This was an excellent Hampton Inn. Very clean and comfortable. Good place to stay overnight when traveling for vacation or business along Route 495. All the staff (front desk to housekeepers) were friendly and courteous. As at most Hampton Inns, the beds are very comfortable. It was very quiet and had a good breakfast included. Bring your swim suit as there is an indoor pool and a small workout room. There are a number of restaurant choices in the area. Free WiFi.
The hotel is just off 495 but is a little difficult to find. Use your GPS. The hotel is set way back on a small road just after Chili's Restaurant.

I checked in and had a top (4th) floor room, which I was happy about. However, upon entering the room I realized they had me in an adjoining room, with the adjoining room door even with the pillows on the bed. This does NOT work for me. Why hotels have more than just a handful of adjoining rooms is beyond me, particularly a business hotel like this one. I asked to be moved to a non-adjoining room, and they did so - they put me on the 2nd floor. I sat down at the desk, started to work on my computer, and what sounded like King Kong began walking around in his room above me - the very reason I ask for a top floor room. (Why people can't move quietly about their hotel room, I will never know. I can tell you that a guest below my room would never know I am in it.) I asked to be moved back to the 4th floor, to a non-adjoining room, and they did so. The last nail in the coffin happened at bed-time. As other reviewers have stated, this hotel is 50 yards off of the interstate, and the windows are not soundproofed. Even with turning the AC fan on, you cannot drown it out. Semi trucks sound like helicopters buzzing the hotel in the middle of the night. This could be fixed - Hampton Inn could invest in soundproof windows (a window inside of the existing window) - but as it stands now, the entire interstate facing side of the hotel is uninhabitable. Also, as an aside, the mattresses have these cheap covers on them that instantly become untucked and lumpy as soon as you turn over. The moral of the story is that it's hard to find a room in this hotel if you are sensitive to noise.
