“A Great Stay Even Without ESPN”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 October 2010

We arrived at the Travelodge on a Sunday and stayed 3 nights. The room was very clean, not musty or smelled like cigarettes. The desk staff was very nice at check-in & out. The only problems and they were very small were 1-not enough towels, 2-soap was not reissued every day and 3-being a big Baseball fan(Yankee-Red Sox) game was not on the TV channels that were offered;ESPNU but no ESPN. That's OK though, this motel is on Rte.28 in West Yarmouth and there are plenty of things to do (beaches-Downtown Hyannis-JFK memorial-shopping malls & restaurants nearby! Plymouth is 45 minutes west and Provincetown is 45 minutes east.My favorite restaurant is Sam Diego's on Rte.132 and by far my fave attraction was seeing the seals off the beach in Chatham!

“Great value for the price, clean, neat and private”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2010

The room we had was very nice, restful, and very clean. The shower worked great. The bathroom was clean. The king bed was very comfortable and offered a good night's sleep. The TV was in an armoire instead of bolted to the wall or on the table. I would definately stay here again.

“Barely 2 Stars”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2010

I had asked for a flat pillow during my stay because thick pillows cause me to have migraine headaches. I asked the hotel to email me beforehand if they couldn't provide them, but never heard back from them. I arrive to find big, thick pillows. Headaches. The front desk did call about 30min after we checked in and asked how our room was. That was appreciated. Anyway, the room was not the best. The bed gave us backaches in the morning, and the walls are paper-thin. We stayed on the second floor where it was thought it might be quieter, but no. You could hear the residents of the hotel next door talking to each other in the parking lot, and outside their rooms (until midnight). The breakfast was ok. The Hyannis ferries are just a few minutes away. High speed internet was great. Overall, the hotel needs updating! Just a TV and a safe in the room.

“Great choice for a solid lodge”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 September 2010

Highly recommend this hotel/motel. It is a solid, clean and a inexpensive option in the Hyannis area.

We stayed for two nights (pre-vacation vacation). We wanted something close to the Steamship Authority dock and this hotel was 5 mins away. Maybe a mile or two over the Hyannis line in West Yarmouth (near all the mini-golf courses). Very convenient.

Details:
• Room (Two double beds):
• Beds and sheets were clean
• Carpet was clean
• Bathroom and sink was clean
• A/C worked great

Overall, it exceeded my expectations. We knew we weren't staying at a Marriott, but a low-cost hotel. You take your chances on occasion with "value" hotels/motels. We reasonably set our expectations and they were surpassed. The room was a little hot when we first arrived, as the A/C was off and it was 90 degrees outside. But the room unit quickly brought the temperature down (careful not to set it to low, it can get REAL cold if you set it to the lowest setting).

The staff was friendly and very helpful. The indoor pool was great, the kids had a lot of fun. Staff provided extra towels for us at the pool. We took advantage of the continental breakfast one AM before getting on the ferry for Nantucket and it was good. There is also a play-ground for the kids which they had a blast on waiting for us to pack up, or while someone was getting to go out.

Thanks for the great service and solid room!

“Extremely pleased with exceptional service”

My family stayed at the Travelodge West Yarmouth for two nights in mid August. As long as travelers understand the nature of a budget motel, I think you will have a great stay here. The rooms are pleasant and clean. The service was put to the test when our television started having running lines go through it. The manager was right on top of it and it was immediately replaced. The continental breakfast is very basic, but considering the budget room rates it is much better than getting nothing (which is what most budget hotels give you). Nice indoor swimming pool (though a bit chilly - not heated). Hot tub was out of order at the time. Overall though, a GREAT stay. I can't say enough praise for the manager of this establishment who was very communicative and friendly.
