“Very traditional, homely and welcoming.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2011

My wife and I have recently stayed here at the Inn and after 2 weeks of staying in large corporate hotels this was an absolute treat. It is run by Bob & Tanya who I must say were very welcoming into this lovely place they have. There really wasn't anything we could fault and our recommendations of staying here would be very high.

It's location is a few miles outside of Hyannis in a residential area and so so quite and peaceful and a short walk to a small beach or a short drive to a much larger beautiful beach.

The inn offers free WiFi or use of their laptop. The breakfast is plentiful and Bob also cooks his own pancakes and other stuff. Sets you off for the day on high. We couldn't find anything they haven't thought of not that we looked. Our stay was for 3 nights but so wanted more. If we ever return to that part of the world we will for sure stay at The Inn @ Lewis Bay.

The Perfect Stay.

Thanks so much to Bob & Tanya.

“ideal home base”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 October 2011

My wife and I stayed at the Inn at Lewis Bay ("ILB") for the bulk of our one-week trip to the Cape. We wanted a place to serve as a good home base for touring the Upper, Middle, and Lower Cape...and ILB fit the bill just right. It's a few blocks off of Route 28 (the lower highway), which connected us easily elsewhere. The distance to Falmouth was a little more than to Chatham/Orleans...but we were basically right in the middle, with a parking spot, and a couple blocks from the water. Based simply on location, I would recommend ILB.

Bob, our innkeeper, was great. At B&B's there's a delicate balance of chummy interaction and leaving you to your vacation, and Bob's tact therein was sharp as, well, a tack. He's a good cook, too (which reminds me to write him for one of those breakfast recipes). One morning my wife woke up with a hankering for pancakes. We walk downstairs and Bob greets us good morning, followed by, "Who wants pancakes?" I kid you not...it might be a coincidence, but I'm giving him credit anyhow.

One more thing: it's about two minutes away from Captain Parker's, on 28. Have the chowder.

Room Tip: Whale Watch room: you can see the bay...and it's cute but not cutesy.

“Perfect Quaint Cape Hideaway!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 August 2011

This past weekend, my boyfriend and I stayed the night here after a hectic weekend where our friends got married. We were looking for a way to relax, decompress and get some alone time and the Inn at Lewis Bay was just perfect! We called the inn and asked if we would be able to check in a few hours early and Bob warmly agreed. The Inn is very charming and situated on a quiet residential street just a block away from a private beach. We spent some time with his adorable birds in the living room and very much enjoyed the afternoon snack of fresh lemonade and homemade brownies. We stayed in the Secret Garden room on the second floor and it was lovely, spacious, quiet and comfortable. We were told that we could use the private beach at the end of the block and were able to take an evening stroll down to the practically deserted shore to watch the sunset - it was very romantic! Breakfast the next morning was delicious - we ate on the outside porch and although we came down towards the end of breakfast, our breakfast was still piping hot and fresh out of the oven! I will most definitely be returning the next time I'm on the cape!

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the top floor - they are the most secluded!

“Great stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 July 2011

This was our first trip to the Cape. The Inn at Lewis Bay was a great place to stay. It is situated on a quiet residential street. We stayed in the Secret Garden room which was sunny, cheerful and quite spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Bob was a great host. The breakfasts were delicious and the afternoon snacks and lemonade were a pleasant welcome after a day of sightseeing. Would definitely stay there again.

“Great Stay at the Inn at Lewis Bay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2011

My wife and I just completed an enjoyable four day stay at the Inn at Lewis Bay. The inn is very conveniently located on Cape Cod and is very close to Hyannis (and the ferry boats to Nantucket Island and Martha's Vineyard) and many good restaurants. Public beaches are close by and can be reached by walking or borrowing one of the inn's loaner bicycles, although we did drive to Seagull Beach, about two miles away. The inn provides beach towels and beach chairs for the guests to borrow.

We stayed in the Beach Rose room on the second floor. The room was very clean and very quiet, even though it looked out over a residential street. The window air conditioner kept the room cool at night. The bed was comfortable enough, although the mattress is starting to sag in the middle and could stand to be replaced.

The inn is owned and managed by the husband and wife team of Bob and Tanya Liberman. During most of our stay, Bob was the main host. He has previously worked as a tour director for various musical acts and the brief stories he told us were very interesting.

The inn served delicious breakfasts each day, including Blueberry Pancakes, Stuffed French Toast and a Southwestern Egg Bake. A fresh fruit plate was also served daily. A wide assortment of cereals, breads, bagels and yogurts were available for anyone wanting something other than the featured breakfast.

Bob also supplied great dining recommendations (Captain Parker's Pub and the Lobster Boat Restaurant, both in West Yarmouth, were very good). We decided to spend a day on the Cape Cod Rail Trail bicycle path and he recommended a very good rental shop, Dennis Cycle Center in South Dennis, right on the trail for renting bikes. We each had like-new 24 speed bikes for the day.

We feel lucky to have found such a wonderful and convenient inn at a reasonable price. We could have paid a lot more for a B&B on Cape Cod and received far less value for our money.

Hey Mike - It was wonderful having you and your wife with us recently. We listen to our guest reviews and criticism, and wanted to let you know we will take a look at that mattress. Perhaps it needs flipping, as that mattress was just replaced less than a year ago, and is a Stearns and Foster. Thanks again for the heads up, other than great breakfasts, we pride ourselves on comfortable beds also. If you are a Bed and Breakfast, both better be great. Hope to see you again soon!
