My husband and I stayed here and saw 2 tiny bugs crawling down the side of the tub. We checked the bed and thought it looked okay, so we stayed. An hour later we saw a tiny bug crawling down the mirror in the room and watched it crawl behind the mirror. Later as I was in the bathroom I saw a roach crawl out from behind the mirror in the bathroom and more tiny bugs crawling on the floor and the sink. Also, in the middle of the night I heard a cough in the room next door and opened my eyes to see their light shining through from the top of our wall and ceiling! We checked out at 5:00 A.M. and complained to the person on duty who could have cared less. I want to warn anyone thinking of staying here of what we experienced....

Made a reservation on line from West Springfield ,MA and the rate was alright, not the best but we needed to stay somewhere because we where at another hotel that was very good. But we decided to stay one more day at the last moment. Sometimes you have to know that you get what you pay for but this hotel isn't that much cheaper. We get to the hotel the front desk person was nice we get into the room 523 and as soon as you open the door you get slapped with this really bad smell. We start to put our bags in and we open the sliding door to get some air into the room and we put the air on also. I start to spray my lysol thinking that the smell would go away by the time we get back from six flags. We get back from six flags tired ready to go to sleep for the night and bam that smell again, it was pure urine I know what it is now. So I spray my lysol again all over the place on beds, the entire room, bathroom, towards the air conditioner and we all try to sleep I can not sleep the smell is overwhelming. I call front desk at 1:00 a.m. and ask the person what do they use to wash the linens and covers. He said that they are washed, I asked them do they use bleach and he said yes. It doesn't smell like bleach that it is the smell of URINE. He asked if we would like another room at this time of the morning I told him yes. We go downstairs and he gives me the card key for another room, I asked if I can go there to check it out first. We go to room 125 and their is a smell but not like the other one. So my sons and husband go upstairs to get our bags and one of my sons sees a cockaroach on the wall. He didn't want to stay at this hotel and I told him that we would have to rough it and just deal with it at this time. I was not happy with this room but it was too late to go and find another hotel. The smell was a little less and I was spraying my lysol just to make it easier to sleep at least for a few hours. I did get about 4 hours of sleep I guess I was so tired. I know that this hotel is old but it shouldn't be so unclean and smelly and roaches. I live in an old house but I maintain my home. The bathroom door didn't have a lock, the door was old could use some paint, the tub was dirty so I didn't showered, I was afraid I would get something on my feet. The rugs haven't seen a shampooer in the life of the rugs, the coffee maker was filthy, the sliding window doors were crying for mercy for windex or maybe vinegar. the linens did not smell fresh. Their were cobb webs on the ceiling so I knew this was going to be a bad time. We didn't have any breakfast because we didn't want any added ingredient like the roach that was on the wall. I would not recommend this place to a pig, let alone humans. It is a dump.

Room sizes were fine. King room smelled damp/musty, ac old made "slurping" noise ALL night long, the bed spread was stained which makes me think was anything changed? I called for a new spread, lamp was broken. Bathroom - no soap dish, wall paper all ripping, no air vents, mold on shower walls. Dbl room - entry light switch broken (yes on the wall broken), carpet ripped along the wall (think for new cable lines) but never repaired. The cleaning lady was knocking on doors at 8 am "hello are you sleeping" well ya we are on vacation!!! We told her no service and she went on to notify us "You know checkout is at 11" ya we know. Now the bill- well I tried to book on line and had problems. I called directly and spoke with John - very nice. The on line rate was $71.10 king $80.10 dbl I was quoted the "best rate available" when I got to the hotel John told me the AAA rate would be applied. When I reached the hotel the rate was $1.00 more for each of the 3 dbl rooms I booked inquired and was told that was rate. They also tacked on a "safe" fee for $1.05 a room which was not on my confirmation E-mail either! Something needs to be done at this hotel. We stayed in a Quality in Canada and LOVED it Springfield -BIG mistake. NEVER AGAIN. I deserve more than a credit for this one night stay from HELL.

I quess with choise hotels when the hotel dose not meet the standards of the brand it was orginialy built for then it becomes a Quality in of W Springfiled. It is owned by ### heads and it is a crap hole. The hotel is run down, dirty and seems to have homeless people put up in there by the goverment. The parking lot has a full lawn growing through it and the landscaping has weeds and looks like a vacant lot in the getto. The rooms have stained tiles and the wall paper is riped. The free breakfast is not served until 6:30 am if at all and it is dog food. It is poorly managed. The windows have not been washed in over a year to the point that you can write on the dirt. The bed spread had burn holes . Real dung heap.
