This hotel is very outdated and has not been well maintained. The first room I stayed in was room 104. There are insufficient electrical connections in the guest rooms. The room wiring has been added by placing wire guides on the outside of the walls. The wire guides have corroded and have what looks like mold on them. The first room that I checked into smelled like urine. I believe the smell was coming from a sofa bed that was in the room. The sofa bed was not usable as a piece of furniture because the mechanism in it was broken and the mattress has been removed. There was no structure in it to support a person and it was a safety and health hazard. The light for the vanity did not work because the electrical switch that controlled it was broken. The light could only be illuminated by holding the switch in position. The caulking was dry all around the tub enclosure which may have created the smell of mold. The second room, Room 101, I moved into had no sofa. The window/slider was broken and could not be closed completely to lock it. This was on the ground floor where someone could easily walk into the room from the parking lot. The card key operated entry door to this guest room did not close on its own because the spring hinge was broken so I had to make sure I manually pulled the door closed when entering or leaving the room. There is a homeless encampment in the woods just to the south of the building, about 50 feet from the guest rooms. In the morning the homeless people can be seen leaving the woods through the parking lot. The room heat/cool air handler devices are either on hot or cold or off. The noise from the adjacent Route 5 roadway is excessive perhaps because the windows have not been updated with better sound reducing glazing components. The interior design is very outdated. I would not stay at again or recommend this property to anyone.
