Booked this through Hotels.com (my first & last time using that site) which had mostly positive feedback for this motel, NOT HOTEL! It is far from 2 stars, it would be a stretch to give it 1. I am assuming that Hotels.com deletes negative feedback in order to make money because it seems the payment goes to them, then they pay the motel. The reviews for this place were nit picky..things like the lightbulbs were out and the AC was too noisy...nothing that would have detered me from staying here with my teenage son.
Upon arriving, we realized something was not right. There was a "by the hour" efficiency motel located next door. We called 4 different delivery places for pizza, all 4 would not deliver to that location due to safety concerns. By that time it was dark and we were afraid to leave. Starting around 11pm, the people in the room adjacent to us began fighting, swearing, and breaking things for several hours. We called the front desk 4 times to no avail. The "breakfast" was a couple of disgusting, dried up pastries & muffins, and boxes of cereal, you could not have paid me to drink the milk in the dirty carafe.
The ONLY positive thing I can say is the sheets were clean. Both myself & my 14 year old son wore flip-flops in the bathroom and shower. You know it is bad if a teenage boy thinks it is dirty!!
We used Priceline back in May for arrangements. I called Priceline to ask for double beds, got a live American person, were put on hold for no more than 5 minutes & it was taken care of! I called Hotels.com Sunday when we got home and after 15 minutes of pushing buttons, finally got a person, in Central America named "Betty" who put me on hold for an hour while she "tried to resolve" my problem..give me a credit...sorry, no can do!!
Lesson learned, I WILL ONLY USE PRICELINE.COM!!!! Buyer Beware!!
