“Pretty good for a one night stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011 via mobile

We rolled in after a 4-hour drive, arriving very late just after midnight. We didn't take a great look at the room; just checked beds were clean and fell asleep.

The next morning we found out that the wallpaper was peeling from the walls. I think we figured out why when we went to shower; the exhaust fan no longer worked.

Plus side? Gobs of hot water & several showerhead settings to choose. Towels were very scratchy, though :(

Beds were firm & springy. Not the best, but exhaustion helps. Pillows were nice & fluffy & bountiful!

Skip the "breakfast". I'd rather not go into detail, but it was very underwhelming. We went out!

I probably wouldn't stay here again, but I wouldn't warn anyone away.

“Stunk. Literally.”

The room was small, with two full beds (not queens). It hadn't been vacuumed and there was a wet towel sitting on the counter when we arrived. We had a nonsmoking room, but there was a heavy tobacco smell as soon as you walked into the hallway. Could they not have made the entire floor nonsmoking and put the smokers on a separate floor? We tried to call down for some extra towels (there were three sets in the room and four of us staying there) after coming in at 10 PM, but no one answered the phone. The first night I stepped on a sliver of glass in the carpet, and the following night my nephew did the same.

All around one of the worst hotel experiences we've ever had.

“Dangerous neighborhood, dirty motel, loud fighting in the room next door”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 July 2011

Booked this through Hotels.com (my first & last time using that site) which had mostly positive feedback for this motel, NOT HOTEL! It is far from 2 stars, it would be a stretch to give it 1. I am assuming that Hotels.com deletes negative feedback in order to make money because it seems the payment goes to them, then they pay the motel. The reviews for this place were nit picky..things like the lightbulbs were out and the AC was too noisy...nothing that would have detered me from staying here with my teenage son.
Upon arriving, we realized something was not right. There was a "by the hour" efficiency motel located next door. We called 4 different delivery places for pizza, all 4 would not deliver to that location due to safety concerns. By that time it was dark and we were afraid to leave. Starting around 11pm, the people in the room adjacent to us began fighting, swearing, and breaking things for several hours. We called the front desk 4 times to no avail. The "breakfast" was a couple of disgusting, dried up pastries & muffins, and boxes of cereal, you could not have paid me to drink the milk in the dirty carafe.
The ONLY positive thing I can say is the sheets were clean. Both myself & my 14 year old son wore flip-flops in the bathroom and shower. You know it is bad if a teenage boy thinks it is dirty!!
We used Priceline back in May for arrangements. I called Priceline to ask for double beds, got a live American person, were put on hold for no more than 5 minutes & it was taken care of! I called Hotels.com Sunday when we got home and after 15 minutes of pushing buttons, finally got a person, in Central America named "Betty" who put me on hold for an hour while she "tried to resolve" my problem..give me a credit...sorry, no can do!!
Lesson learned, I WILL ONLY USE PRICELINE.COM!!!! Buyer Beware!!

“Get what you pay for”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 July 2011

Arrived around 9 pm in town so choices limited. Room price was great but you get what you pay for. Nothing fancy. Vanity/mirror is not in same room as shower, etc. No fan in small shower room to ventilate so mildew along ceiling edges. AC unit is very loud and had to be turned off so we could get some sleep. Skipped breakfast as it was minimal and found Cracker Barrel in town. Asked if there was a storage room for our bikes and response was "no, but you can take them to your room" We were on the third floor. :) No real complaints ... just nothing special

“Customer service it the PITS!!! and that's just the tip of the iceberg”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 July 2011

as a long time customer who has stayed at this hotel for the last 15 years while attending a horse show, I have seen the undeniable degeneration of basic people skills, and the condition of the hotel. They no longer allow windows to be open...the heat/air unit sounds like a 747 was landing in the room...the bathroom was NOT clean, the towels smelled musty, and we wished we had brought diving booties, as the tub was nasty. Terrible disappointment. Good thing there are other hotels in the area, as I would not return to HOTEL HELL, nor would I suggest it to anyone. The internet is a powerful tool, and this place could easily be the setting for "From Dusk 'til Dawn 3". Aside from it's convenient location, it lacks everything.
