“Dirty, loud, not worth the money”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

The room was over $100 when I stayed there and there was a nicer downtown hotel for $120 but I needed to be super close to Harvard. I requested another room when I found the bed all crinkled, it looked like someone had slept in it. Both rooms were extremely dirty, the most disgusting element being a brown substance on the tissue dispenser. There was dirt on the floor and behind the bed, everything was sort of sticky. The hotel is extremely loud in the morning. The TV sort of worked but with a bad reception.

The good things I can say about it is the wireless worked and the staff was friendly. But if you're looking for something just to sleep in go to a hostel, and if not, stay away from this one--it's an extremely uncomfortable place.

“Should get more for the money”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 September 2011

Even though this Super 8 was just under $100, it wasn't worth it. It doesn't cost that much to keep it cleaner and a little more up to date. The rugs need to be replaced or cleaned and the bathtub could use being replaced. I think I could have found a motel/hotel closer to the the subway line for a bit more and I would pay the extra for it. The breakfast was very basic - they could add some fruit at least.

“Average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 July 2011

Motel on the way over New England. It was ok, most expensive among Super 8 s on our way. As in all Super 8 motels - free internet, complimentary simple breakfast. Quite far from central Boston (bus nearby and then subway), reception helpful in finding your way around. Went to visit Harvard by car and found place to park.

“You Get What You Pay For”

We chose to stay at this hotel because it was under $100 a night and most of the hotels in downtown Boston were around $300. The hotel was what I expected- it was a decent place to sleep and shower. It's old and a little run-down, but safe. The bathroom had recently had a facelift, which was nice, but the floor was filthy. There was a used Q-tip on the floor when we checked in and about an inch of dirt/trash/filth underneath and behind the bed. Also, there is nothing to do in Watertown and the hotel is not near the subway. There is a bus stop across the street from the hotel where you can catch the Route 70A bus to Central Square and get on the Red Line of the T. There is also nothing to do in Watertown. Overall, this hotel is fine if you just need some place to sleep and shower.
