The area around Boston is extremely expensive and sold out during the week. Had to bite the bullet and try this hotel. It is bare bones and a bit dirty. The first thing I noticed as soon as I walked in was how very dirty the rug was. What decent hotel manager would not tell an employee to vacumn immediately before a guest noticed the dirt? Well, that pretty much told the story, obviously a very poorly managed property. Room rug had frayed edges. Bathtub still had dirty foot prints in it that could have been scrubbed out with the correct cleaning products and a little elbow grease. Drawers had long hairs inside - probably maid has never bothered to open the drawers. Hotel did not seem too old but not well taken care of. Front desk is surprisingly unprofessional - not dressed well and not well trained in hotel manners. There is an outdoor pool and a bar-be-que area - I did not try either and can not comment on them. Also a workout room with only 3 machines. When I looked in, there were 3 - small 5-6yr old children using all three machines. Breakfast was again - bare bones - a small case with a very small amount of packaged muffins, bagels. Also there was a pot of coffee with only the little creamers that are full of preservatives. I would not even call this a continental breakfast. My room also had an offensive odor - like body odor - when the air conditioner was off it was much more noticable. You also had to pay $5 a day extra if you wanted internet for your lap top. They did not have a computer at all for guests. I did not get the internet so I do not know if it worked well or not.
Yes, I stayed there - I had no choice. I sprayed lysol on everything. I put a towel on the bottom of the bathtub so that I did not step on the dirt. I did not use the drawers. I would never eat the processed packaged foods they had out or use those creamers so I ate out. Other than that, the little kitchen I had was new and clean. The bed was comfortable enough - it did have the cheapest sheets - but I don't care about that when I am trying to save some bucks. Hopefully I will never have to stay in this hotel again.
