“Pleasant Stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 December 2011

Best Western TLC is a nice choice for a business visit. I visited Waltham for a workshop and stayed in this hotel for one night only. Even though the workshop was in Hotel Hilton Garden which was just 2 mins walk from this hotel, but I chose this hotel because the price was less compared to Hotel Hilton. I do not regret my decision. Even though I did not visit the rooms of Hotel Hilton Garden but do not feel there would be a huge difference.

Entrance Area
Nice pleasant area, with some open space.

The building
Though no major issue, but looked as if the construction of the floors/rooms were a bit old.

Reception
The staff was friendly. The reception area was ok, not very well decorated, but no major issues as the room you stay matters the most.

Room
Comfortable bed, the bat room was ok is size and clean. I liked the attached balcony with my room. You get a nice view from the balcony, a nice place to sit and relax.

Restaurant / Buffet
This could have been a little better, too small in size. The Buffet breakfast did not have much variety, specially if you are vegetarian. Very little choice.

“Not bad at all”

I have been staying in hotels all around this one for several years (Westin, Summerfield Suites, etc.). I finally stayed here and was pleasantly surprised. The issues with the walls in the other reviews are true: They are thin and you can hear people in adjoining rooms. My room had a door to the next room, as many do. The noise was pretty loud. They switched me to a room without such a for and it was A LOT better. Our stay was fine. Nice rooms, great front desk staff and breakfast (if you like carbs, this is the breakfast for you!). I will probably stay here next trip, depending upon price (the price swung wildly online from day-to-day).

Room Tip: Ask for a room without an adjoining door for a better chance at a quiet room.

“Another great alternative in the Waltham area”

We have a daughter going to Brandeis University, and stay in the Waltham area once or twice a semester. We've always stayed across the street at the HIE, but got a good deal at the Best Western through cheaprooms.com. Very nice motel which has been upgraded recently. Room was excellent, staff helpful and efficient, and breakfast was fine. Only complaint (and not a big one) is that they ought to upgrade their exercise equipment. The treadmill didn't "grab" properly at speeds above about 2.5 MPH, so you got a variable speed ride. The indoor pool was a nice addition. We would definitely stay here again.

“Friendly, helpful staff, comfortable stay”

Stayed here one night while visiting Boston. Easy to get to the city via Interstate. Staff very attentive and helpful. Requested a rollaway on my way out to the car to grab my soda, it was brought to the room before I got back! I requested a few more towels because only three were originally provided (we had 4 in the room) and they had them sent up immediately. All staff we encountered were polite and friendly, not just the front desk people. This does seem to be an older property, and the ammenities were not as luxurious as some places, but it was enough. The room had a mini fridge, hair dryer, in-room coffee. Complimentary wi-fi internet worked well. Decent, pretty standard complimentary breakfast with fruit, cereal, waffles, yogurt. There was space for a work desk and lounge chair. Cooling system worked very well. There was a small workout room and a very nice looking pool area but we didn't have time to enjoy it. Most importantly, it was clean!
