“Dirty and needs updating”

We were in a bind to find a hotel with kitchen ammenities after a snow storm caused a power outtage at our house and we were left with no heat and a newborn...so we quickly reserved here since all other nearby hotels were booked. The good news is that the room had heat, (which is what we needed) and a refrigerator (for my babies breastmilk) but the bad news is that it was disgusting. The ceiling of the room was caved in from what seemed to be water damage. The bathroom tiles were filled with black mold (both the shower tiles and bathroom floor tiles). There was a towel left hanging behind the door from a previous user (gross!!) and the capet of the room was lifting up in places. The carpet was grimmy and very dirty. We needed a crib, and they gave us a pack and play (no sheets provided). I cleaned the pack and play with baby wipes and the wipes were brown and red when done cleaning (so gross!)....luckily I brought enough baby blankets to cover the pack and play with our blankets (I spent 40 minutes cleaning the pack and play....that's how gross it was!). When we opened the pull out sofa for my in laws, the mattress had black on the bottom of it.. We all slept in the bed instead... it was a king size bed and incredibly uncomfortable. Pillows were flat, mattress was old.
No shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom--- just soap provided.
The dishes seemed clean, but we did not use them.
They charge you for internet.
There are lots of hotels nearby, so DO NOT come here.

“Do not stay here”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2011

Really poor hotel. During check-in, the front desk clerk listed all the things they cannot or will not do:
1) We do not change towels in the room - you have to come pick them up at the front desk. Same goes for toilet paper, soap, shampoo, etc
2) We clean the room only if you have stayed in it for 7 days or more. No maid service to do the dishes, beds, etc.
3) We do not serve breakfast

The room itself was somewhat run-down. There was a cigarette burn in the comforter on the bed and I found an insect in the bath tub. It was ok otherwise.

I was traveling alone on business and staying for one night only, and wish hadn't chosen this bad extended stay hotel. There is a Westin down the street that I will try next time.

“Better options elsewhere I am sure”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 September 2011

I was put up at this place for several days by my company while on a consulting gig in Boston. I was in a handicap accessible room. The shower was POOR with little pressure (on ground floor-excessive flow restriction) and water being barely lukewarm at its highest setting. Bathroom has no hooks to hang clothes, no place to put soap, shampoo etc. The room looks worn and tired in keeping with the atmosphere in the public areas.
Housekeeping is once a week, looks like it is more like once a month. The TV is tiny CRT type. The WiFi that one pays for is weak and will fade out repeatedly.

“Loathed this place! Creepy!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 August 2011

The only reason we stayed here was because we were on a long, four-day journey to Canada, and our reservations for someplace better were messed up due to a car breakdown that had delayed us by a day. We rolled up to the front, and there were three or four young adults hanging around smoking. Also, a young mom with her baby hanging around the front desk. It was about 10 p.m. It already looked a bit depressing, and I didn't really want my husband to go in, to check vacancy, but we'd already tried every other place in town, and we had two super-tired kids in the backseat who were having tantrums from hunger, so we booked a room. While I waited for my husband to register, I watched a dude wandering around the lobby in his boxer shorts and socks. Uh-oh. Once inside it got worse. The entire place stunk to high heck of stale cigarettes and stale carpet. (I'm a former smoked and actually love the smell of smoke, normally, but not nasty years-of-funk-cigarettes-all-night cigarette smell, it turns out.) The rug inside the elevator was covered in stains. Someone was having a loud party in one of the rooms on our hallway. There were stains on the bedspreads. The windows, of course, didn't open, so there was no way to get any air . . .. and to top it all off, it cost $180 dollars for one night!!! I'm sorry, but you can stay at a very nice inn or B and B for that price!! Judging by the people strolling about in underwear, etc., I got the distinct impression that people were living here while waiting for either court-appointed living arrangements or perhaps it was government-assisted temporary living arrangements. That wouldn't be a bad thing, necessarily, if only the management of this dump would show THOSE customers some respect and clean up the stains and find a way to blow in some fresh air. Grrrr. Loathed this place. Rip off!

“good location, clean, best price for a room with a kitchen”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 May 2011

It's pretty new, so it's clean. A clean room with a kitchen in a good location, that's a bargain I got through priceline. You will have to pay for WIFI at $4.95/day though.
