Let me start by saying that the staff at this hotel is extremely friendly and helpful. I guess that's like saying someone has a nice personality, but... I booked this hotel using free nights because the other Hyatts were full. I had never stayed in a Summerfield Suites before, though Hyatt place was always nice. This is a step below Hyatt Place. When we got into the room, we first noticed a weird smell. Maybe it was just stuffy, because it eventually dissipated after we opened the windows. Then we noticed a dining room table in the middle of the room with no chairs. This table was enormous, about 8x4 feet, and with no chairs we could not understand its purpose. We used it to store our luggage. The bed is what you'd expect from a Hyatt, with great pillows, but the bathroom was a different story. The entire setup felt like a cheap extended stay apartment, and the bathroom was not exactly the cleanest. There were hairs left over from the previous guests that I had to clean up before I could shower. The cabinets had big chunks of wood missing and paint gone. The breakfast buffet in the morning was ample and varied, though there was a long black hair on my plate and the plastic spoons were all sticky, as if something had been spilled on them. To get to downtown Boston, we drove about 10 minutes and paid to park at the Riverside T stop to take the green line in. It's about a 45min to an hour ride. However, it saves you the hassle of driving. The Summerfield Suites weren't terrible, but I wouldn't stay there again.
