Lets start with the vineyard itself just in case some will be your first time. Its really 3 towns that you would want to do things in so having transportation is a good idea, even more so if you want to go out to the beach and point. Its the land of b and b's. The mansion is probably the most hotel like b and b on the island. there are hotel/resorts there(limited) but if you want a b and b, but have not have the creepiness of a small one this is good pick. The breakfast is good and standard like a fancy hotel, instead of a small b and b where you standing up in someones kitchen with strangers eating an english muffin. The front desk is pretty inept at times, parking is limited in a small lot in the alley behind the place. but not a problem when i was there. i had a jeep and left the door and windows of each night no problems. the rooms are a mix between a b and b and a classic upper scale hotel. some with balconys with furniture just a couple chairs but nice to have a glass of wine on. Martha's is just a place to chill and get away. this is a good, easy place to stay and not regret. close pharmacy, liquor store, grocery store, bakery, coffee shop, car rental etc.. all walkable but still small town neighbor hood feel. a charmer. stay there.
