We loved this B&B. It is decorated with excellent taste, and is very comfortable. It is in a quiet part of Vineyard Haven, about a fifteen-minute walk or ten-minute bike ride from the ferry. We spent a good part of our vacation just hanging out here on the hammocks, reading, or playing ping-pong out in the garden. Breakfast was delicious, and served with style but not stilted. Jilana was available but did not hover. There are several places here to hang out--a couple of TV rooms, a large living room with lots of books, and a porch on the side of the house, screened from the road, where we had breakfast. The bed was really comfortable, too!

This B&B is located on in a quiet residential neighborhood. Our room was clean, small, quiet and comfortable. The AC was self regulated and the room included a ceiling fan.
There are multiple common rooms which we didn't take advantage of, but one included a refrigerator so we could refreeze our cooler packs.

The amenities included a nutritious and delicious full breakfast on a too sunny patio.
Bicycles are available. Unfortunately the one we choose, needed the handle bars tightened and a gentler seat.

On our arrival we were sweetly greeted by Kristen, the house assistant. She showed us the layout of the house and arranged a place for us to leave a suitcase as we arrived 2.5 hours prior to check-in. The inn's owner was less gracious grumbling about the time and where we had placed our beach gear on the driveway. Unfortunately, this introduction placed a damper on our stay and makes it difficult to recommend this B&B to others.

We stayed for seven nights in this B & B in Martha's Vineyard and had a great stay. It's located within walking distance of Vineyard Haven (and the ferries) but is on a surprisingly quiet street. The room (we stayed in Room #7 which has a bedroom and a separate sitting room) was spacious and comfortable. It has a beautiful yard where we saw wild turkeys and deer repeatedly. Breakfasts were great every morning. (My wife, who is incredibly fussy about it thought the coffee was great---a big plus because she's miserable if she can't get decent coffee.) Everyone was most helpful and friendly. This is NOT a hotel but a B & B however so if you're looking for the kind of 24 hour service you get in a hotel you should probably stay in one. Oh and great news for those who travel with pets it is incredibly pet friendly. I would highly recommend this inn to anyone who is going to spend some time on Martha's Vineyard.

A wonderful Vineyard Haven Stay, beautiful flowers, graceful comfortable furniture, delicious plentiful breakfast served on a lovely porch looking over a beautiful yard and garden. The breakfast was awesome, the service perfect. Juliana was honest, direct and shared a wealth of knowledge of the vineyard. She has a New York edge which was refreshing and fun. The Doctor's House location was the a critical element of our Martha's vineyard vacation. We walked downtown, to have fun , enjoy the sun and try diverse dinner and desert venues. The Doctor's Bed and Breakfast allowed for a perfect center point for our daily bike rides to the Cliffs at Gay Head, Chappy, and Oak Bluffs. We enjoy bed and breakfast and this is one we will look forward to returning to. A truly wonderful vineyard haven Bed and Breakfast.
