“Most Romantic B&B Around!”

If you're looking for a weekend of romance, look no further than The Captain Farris House B&B. My fiance and I stayed at the inn this past August for the first time and we were floored! We've stayed at many inns all over New England, and this one surpasses them all. The inn itself is absolutely stunning - on the inside and the out. The rooms are very spacious and beautifully decorated. All the rooms have private bathrooms, which is a huge plus. We stayed in Room #2 (Captain's Quarters) and let me tell you - it was romance at its best! From the canopy bed, to the jacuzzi bathtub, there wasn't a moment that we didn't feel relaxed and in love! Nancy and Michael, the innkeepers, were beyond hospitable and welcoming. We could immediately tell that they LOVE what they do! They are passionate about their inn - and know EVERYTHING there is to know about things to do in Cape Cod! The food was incredible - from the afternoon teas and cookies - to the decadent breakfasts prepared each morning (all homemade by Nancy!). We cannot say enough about this B&B. We already booked our reservations for this summer (we're staying for a whole week this year...one weekend simply wasn't enough!).

Room Tip: Captains Quarters - Room 2 is where we stayed and we LOVED it. But, you can't go wrong...all ro...

“Rosie and John made it a memorable stay!”

We stayed at the Captain Farris Inn for 3 nights on the last leg of our New England roadtrip - and we certainly saved the best (almost!) to last.
The location is superb for the great beaches of the south Cape and also near to Hyannis for the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. Fabulous room on the ground floor with access to a lovely typically New England verandah overlooking the garden.
The room was large, elegantly decorated and well equipped (quality flatscreen TV), great bathroom with quality shower. The Inn itself is nicely decorated throughout and you have full access to the kitchen 24 hours of the day where there are usually homemade cookies and drinks available.
Several decent restaurants nearby and the hosts will always give you tips on where to eat and visit and talking of the hosts...
Rosie and John are the innkeepers (not the owners) and were quite superb, Rosie is a lovely lady who bakes wonderful breakfasts and packs them for you if you're running late (like we were one morning!)
Loved their friendliness and welcoming ways - they certainly make the Captain Farris somewhere special - Rosie even called us 'kids' which pleased my wife no end!
It's not quite so refined and classy as our favourite stay in New England (Bufflehead Cove Inn in Kennebunkport) but it makes up for it with the warm welcome and comes a very close second.
If you're heading for the mid Cape region stay here, you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Hard to say - we had one of the 'cheaper' rooms on the ground floor and it was great, so ima...

“Can't wait to go back!”

My husband and I spent our honeymoon here 4 1/2 years ago. We have been back twice since because it is such a delightful indulgence with the spacious clean bedrooms and nice jacuzzi's. The multi-course breakfast is wonderful, and the waitstaff pleasant and social. The owners are careful to give privacy, yet offer sight-seeing advice and cordial conversation when appropriate. Lots of little extras like cookies and tea/coffee "after hours", access to a video library, classical music, etc. The whole atmosphere is such a great touch of elegance without being overly done. I can't wait to go back in the spring!

Room Tip: Some rooms have private balaconies which we enjoyed greatly since my sister and her husband stayed i...

My husband and I stayed here for the weekend October 28, 2011 to October 30, 2011. We were delighted with the accomodations. Our room was immaculate and the breakfasts were delicious.

The hosts were most hospitable and they provided everything you could need. We were greeted warmly and had a very relaxing time there. We highly recommend it.

Room Tip: The room we stayed in was on the second floor and had a balcony. There was an easy chair with an ot...

“Elegant, well-run Inn in a good location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2011

Captain Farris House

A very comfortable and exceptionally well run inn in a good position to explore Cape Cod.
It has nice rooms and a bright and sunny breakfast room. The breakfasts were excellent, and thoughtfully prepared and presented, although, being British, we still can’t quite get the idea of eating muffins with breakfast!
There is a good restaurant within two minutes walk.
We were greeted on arrival by the interim managers, John and Rosie as the inn owner was away.
John and Rosie were excellent hosts and great fun. We were so impressed by their care and attention to running the inn and the way they looked after the guests that we actually recommended them to another inn owner for later on when they may also have to be away from their business for a time!
