We booked this trip through Living Social and we were very pleased with the Blue Rock Resort. First of all, I can't say enough about the friendliness of the staff! From the moment we arrived we felt as if we had been coming there for years! A special shout out to Kevin, the bartender and occasional chef! He was really out to please and made us some tasty burgers even though we arrived after the kitchen was supposed to be closed! The rooms are typical Cape Cod decor -- and very clean and neat. A $50 food voucher was included in the package and breakfast was delicious too. It was a little too cool to spend much time at the beach but did go for a massage at the Red Jacket that was lovely too. We look forward to a return trip!

We spent a long weekend at the Blue Rock Resort in Yarmouth this past Summer. We throroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. Our balcony overlooked the second tee of the resorts golf course. We sat out there, read and watched the golfers tee off. The grounds were very well groomed. We dined in the resort restaurant for breakfast each day. The menu was excellent and service was great! The front desk manager was very helpful in getting us internet access. The resort is part of the Red Jacket Resorts and as such we were able to enjoy the amenities at the Red Jacket on Parker's River in Yarmouth as well. We went to the beach there and then relaxed by their pool adjacent to the resort bar and snack stand. The feel out by the pool was like being on a cruise ship. The staff at that resort was also very attentive and friendly. Overall Red Jacket provided us with a great experience! For $5 per person per day when booking room reservations on line you can get breakfast (from the menu) at the resort restaurant each morning. This is an option we will take advantage of the next time we stay at the Blue Rock.

For the most part this place is a good value for the money. It's nothing special, but the rooms are clean, there's a well-maintained outdoor pool, and the staff are pleasant. It would have been nice if the patio furniture had been cleaned and if the room had better lighting. But the real deal-breaker is the beds. We only stayed for two nights but we had a terrible night's sleep both nights. It made us pine for our beat-up falling-apart ten-year-old mattress at home. That's the main reason that we won't stay here again and the main reason that I can't in good conscience recommend the place to anyone - unless they enjoy sleeping on a lightly upholstered slab of granite.
