The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. The pool is huge. The price is right. However, the rooms are not updated. There is smoking permitted in particular sections, which make the whole place smell smoky and/or musty. It's a great place to stay if you're not staying in your room for more than just sleeping.

We took an overnight roadtrip so I could go to Yankee Candle for my birthday. Red Roof Inn is next door, so location at least was good. Price was OK with AAA discount. Rooms are average and standard entry level accomodations. Found out at 6 am that noise in the hallway is very easily heard, not much mgmt can do, just be aware.

Most disturbing part was finding a dark-brown stain on one side of the bed (down in by the foot of the bed) AFTER having slept in the bed. Brought issue to the attention of the front desk, who apologized and refunded a small amount. They said it was likely due to a disgruntled employee who had been let go for unspecified reasons, and they indicated there had been other instances in this area of the hotel where this employee had worked.

WHY, we wondered, after the fact. didn't management check the rooms the employee had done to make sure there were no other issues before renting them out to the public? If you find yourself at this property, you may want to check your sheets and matressses thoroughly before you get in their beds, because they sure don't !

We stayed there for one night on out way to Stratton....would stay there again, since it's right of I-91....but you don't hear the highway.
The TV would need to be updated. The coffee needs to be coffee...but otherwise it's fine.

luxury king bed suite ($89) without the AAA discount, has good wi fi, office desk and chair, microwave and mini fridge. $14 to rent a movie is a bit much. You can go to the theater up the road for less than $8. And the pool is great. Missing is a jacuzzi and exercise room but the big pool makes up for that and they keep it nice and warm in the pool area, like 80's! Restaurants down the road are wuffys, pretty good steaks and seafood, and China King Chinese food. And guys, check out Castaways in Whatley
