I was not very happy with my stay at the Holliday Inn , in Somersville while I was there for 3 nights, there were Guests partying on the 7th floor of the Hotel which, is the smoking section of the Hotel. These Guests, were there for work on the Big dig and they knocked on other Guests room doors, yelled in the hallways, and when i got off the elevator, I distinctly smelt the smell of Marijuana.
In addition, the Hotel lost power and I was forced to carry my bags down 7 flight of stairs out the back and to the front lobby.
There also seemed to be a lack of Security checking the floors and Guests in the evening hours from 7 pm on!
When I stay at a Hotel I want to feel safe, I like it to be some what Quiet and peaceful, this was anything but!
The Swimming pool was also not available to me because, of construction but, this was not told to me before I book said room & Reservations.
The shuttle service was excellent because of Amean, he went above and beyond
Room Tip: Non smoking area had no issue's according to other Guests

Thank you for commenting on your recent stay at the Holiday Inn Somerville.
I am sorry that other guests behavior impacted your stay. The hotel does have security that patrols the building each evening and are very responsive to guest concerns. You did not mention reporting the issue to the hotel management or whether the team here was aware of your concerns. We would have addressed those concerns immediately.
We City did experience a loss of power on Wednesday February 8th which impacted the hotel for 45 minutes. During that time our emergency generator did operate one elevator, so it was not necessary for anyone to carry bags downt he stairs. I am sorry you had to do that.
As you mentioned the pool is closed for rennovations and will reopen on April 1, 2012. We have made this information available over all booking channels so our guests are aware. It is certainly not our intent to surprise our guest regarding the pool closure.
I appreciate your comments regarding Yasin one of our shuttle drivers. He is a wonderful assest to our hotel and guests. I will let him know that he was recognized with your posting.
