My husband and I used to stay at this hotel/motel quite a bit years ago. We hadn't been back in several years, but were encouraged by the nice gentleman I spoke to on the phone to ensure an early check-in we needed.
Upon arrival, the check in clerk was very up front and honest. She asked if we had stayed there before, and if we were aware of the many changes going on at the motel. I told her no. She informed me that they were under renovations, so that the room with a king sized bed I requested was not available, that none of the rooms had king beds any longer. Also, that there were "quite a few children" on the property. She wasn't kidding. I saw on HBO a special about welfare families living in motels, and well....this was one of them. Kids ran around the parking lots, screaming and unsupervised, and running up and down the stairs by all the rooms. They did try to rectify my displeasure by giving us "the honeymoon suite" which was a nice room, but not fully completed, no pictures on the wall, no fridge (although it said all rooms had small fridges in the room), and a large bathroom with a jacuzzi that had just been put in that day, but the jets didn't work. The room had an under construction smell, new paint, and new carpet smell. Also, the bathroom had a shower in which you showered standing in the jacuzzi, no shower curtain, so water ran down the edge of the jacuzzi and onto the floor. 3 separate calls to the front desk for more towels and every time we called, the towels were either in the washer or the dryer. We never got another set of clean towels so I had to reuse the same ones from the night before.
I understand the motel is undergoing work, but the website did not advertise this, and we will never, ever stay there again.

Stayed here one night - long road trip and very tired. Wished we hadnt. Room was dingy, dirty and I felt really uncomfortable about using the bed which had seen better days. I slept fully clothed and wouldnt get under the sheets. If it hadnt been so late we would have moved on.
Lighting so bad, couldnt see what was on the floor- probably for the best.
Seemed to be families living permanently in the motel alongside any hotel guests and there was rubbish everywhere in the carpark
Not a pleasant experience and certainly taught us a lesson - cheap is not always the answer.

We stopped here looking for a room in Somerset for the night, the whole place had lots of kids running around and people sitting on the steps of the rooms, it was like a ghetto. We went to see a room and it smelt badly of cigarette smoke, there was garbage, looked like ashtray contents, dumped in the car park, and the whole place was uncared for and dirty. It was horrible and I would have wanted them to pay me to stay here.

I Was put in the super 8 motel through the dta shelter & i must say that the manager is very rude to the tenants they closed down the pool 1 week after it opend july 1st because he said that us shelter people were making his motel looks like the "projects" & we were making him loose businessalot of us people put here through the dta have children and there is no place for them to play at all! I went down to get breakfast for me and my children & i was approached in a very rude manner and was told the breakfast was for paying customers only i felt very offended and wanted to cry. I also went to ask if they had a vacume i could use to clean the rug and the manager said i had to put a $100.00 deposit again i felt offended and said i am in a shelter if i had that kind of money just to borrow a vacume i would not be living in a shelter! Also i had to live out of bags and suitcases because the space is very small i could not put anything away! I don't wish this place on my enemy!!!!!
