I will start by saying that the beds were extremely comfortable and the breakfasts were great. Three courses were served and they do ask you about allergies . . . upon arrival. What I was extremely disappointed with was the price and the advertised amenities. Upon arriving and seeing the suite, it did not look like the room advertised on line. There were no white wingback chairs but an old rocker and an old wooden chair. Being a library, there was no overhead light to read by, only two lamps, one of which burned out on our last night. There was also an odor that I could not identify. The fan was also going when we arrived which was odd because a note on the door asked the guests to be conservative and turn off lights . . . . when leaving the room. A/C was controlled by the innkeepers and not units in the suites. On Friday night, we were asked to close the windows because they were turning the air on – which we did – only to wake up to find the room very hot and all the windows in the house opened at breakfast. It also advertises “Wine/Sun Tea/Cookies” in late afternoon. We didn’t ask and we didn’t see any wine, sun tea or cookies. Coffee and tea is available 24 hours. Snacks were individual sized bags of what I consider junk food - Fritos, pretzels, Doritos which we don’t eat. As for the ice maker, I’m not sure where that was. I had to knock on the door and ask the hosts when I wanted to fill my water bottle. It appears that there is a kitchen where these amenities might be found at the hours advertised but we did not see that kitchen either and I’m wondering if it even exists! It appears to me to be a bit of a bait and switch and for that kind of money I would expect a lot more!
