“Home Away From Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

What a delight it is to visit Tuck Inn Rockport. Scott and Liz make you feel more like family than just a guest visiting. When the aroma of freshly baked scones, breads or muffins fills the Inn (and your room), you can't help but awake and want to wander downstairs to see the wonderful creations Scott has baked. The inn is in the perfect location, just close enough to town, Bearskin Neck and the Rockport attractions so that you can walk. But it is also far enough away so that you don't feel crowded by tourist traffic and crowds, so you get the best of both worlds. The Tuck Inn also has one of the only pools in town which is great for relaxing on a nice day. The Shalin Liu performance center was amazing and is a must-do when visiting.

“Excellent place to unwind”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

The Tuck Inn is a great place to unwind. Located in beautiful Rockport, MA, this Inn is full of history and charm. The owners, Scott and Liz, help to make your stay here a real treat. They offer advice on places of interest, restaurants, theaters etc. and help you with your travel plans. The rooms are classic and colonial -- they are comfortable, very clean, and maintain the charm of the era in which this old Inn was built. Our bed was incredibly comfortable and the pillows were divine. We could have slept all day in the comfort of our room! There is a lovely living room with a great fireplace that guests are welcome to relax in. Various reading materials are stocked for the weary traveller to read while resting by the fire. There is also a computer with Internet access available in the living room in case you need it.

This Inn is known for its fabulous breakfasts - if you stay here, don't sleep in because you will miss the delicious array of fresh homebaked breads and breakfast treats. Scott prepares the breakfast buffet daily. In addition to homemade breads, breakfast includes juice and coffee, as well as cereals, homemade granola and fruit. It's a wonderful way to start your day. It is also nice to meet the other guests in the dining area and compare travel notes or learn about each other.

Rockport is a lovely place to explore - The Tuck Inn is just a short walk to the center of town and the water. If you plan to explore this lovely part of Massachusetts, be sure to include the Tuck Inn as your "headquarters". You'll be delighted with the rooms, the service and the overall experience - 5 stars! Thank you for a great stay!

Room Tip: We stayed in the "Blue Room" on the second floor of the main house. This property also off...

“A nice change from the big chains”

My wife and I recently spent a couple nights here in late October and all of the great reviews were very much on target. I travel alot and stay at the "chain hotels" with their standard rooms with little personality and cookie cutter furnishings. Scott and Liz's inn would not fit into either catagory. If you enjoy feeling like your at home with friends then stay here. We totally enjoyed the stay and with being just 4-5 blocks to the center of town you really get the best of both worlds, serene quiet and the shops and restaurants. We will stay here again!!!

Room Tip: All the rooms in the main house were quite nice, and it was convenient to walk down to breakfast wit...

“First Anniversary”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 November 2011

We spent our first anniversary at the Tuck Inn and it was wonderful!
The room was perfect for us. Immaculate and tastefully decorated. As soon as we met Liz upon our arrival I knew I had picked the perfect place. She was so kind and helpful. She gave us advice on what to do and where to dine. The next morning we awoke to the aroma of something delicious! We then met Scott (the baker). Boy does he do an awesome job! Breakfast was wonderful. Each morning we had something different and equally outstanding waiting for us. They are the perfect inn keepers. We were even given doggie bags for "the kids" when we checked out. It was a perfect way to celebrate. Thanks Scott and Liz for a perfect weekend!

“Sweet B&B in the heart of Rockport”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2011

Really enjoyed our stay at the Tuck Inn. The Innkeepers, Liz and Scott, are two of the kindest B&B owners I have met. Innkeeping can be grueling but they anticipated our every need and made us feel so welcome. Our queen room with a private entrance was lovely. The TV was small but we weren't there to watch TV. The breakfast spread of pastries was amazing. We walked the 3 1/2 mile loop along the ocean right near the Inn. It was a beautiful walk with a public path right next to the water. Rockport has set aside many right of ways for the public to access the water, something I really appreciate as a member of the 99% who cannot afford oceanfront property. The town is friendly and interesting, especially off-season. It's a great place for a quick getaway.
