“Family Reunion - 9th year at Seaward Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

Our family has been meeting in Rockport for 25 years, the last 9 at the Seaward Inn.
It is a great place for us to meet, this year the head-count was 19. From age 4 to 67 each person looks forward to our September weekend on Cape Ann. The kids even play 'packing a bag' and heading to the bedroom. Nancy and her staff welcome us back each year to the crisp autumn air and beautiful seaside location adding to our family memories. An older generation started this adventure and thanks to Seaward Inn my generation knows it will pass to the next.

“Second time back. I really love this place. Quaint and charming.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 September 2011

This was our second visit to the Seaward Inn and we will be back again. The Inn has a quaint, unpretentious charm while still being extremely comfortable. Our second floor room this time was "Lover's Cove" and it had a beautiful view of Gully Cove. We saw amazing sunrises each morning over the water and the garden is laden with summer flowers. I am an artist and very much enjoyed painting in the garden overlooking the sea. A very wonderful breakfast is included with your stay and the service was excellent.

Room Tip: We loved Lover's Cove. It was spacious and had a beautiful view.

“Picturesque & Romantic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 August 2011

We had a wonderful weekend getaway at the Seaward Inn for the Fourth of July. It is a great location right on the water with beautiful views. It is in an adorable neighborhood with gorgeous flowers. Nice areas for walking. Our room was decorated very nicely with a comfortable bed. There was a good assortment for breakfast each morning. And you get to sit and eat it with a great view of the ocean. I would definitely return!

This inn/b&b is a favorite for many repeat visitors, although this was our first stay. On google, the inn is 1.4 miles from the center of Rockport, but really it is about a miles via the garden sea walking path along the ocean. In the heat of July, with the tough parking in town, we did this walk multiple times in the day and found it enjoyable. Also the quiet, ocean front location is easily worth the walk. Our room on the third floor overlooked the sea and was great to wake up smell the salt water. The only weakness was the AC that we needed for one of the three nights and was manageable. We took in the Shalin Lui Concerts by the sea each evening and walked on two of the evenings. The inn has a modest cold dish dinner that we had held for us after one of the shows to eat on their garden dinning room as the sun set.
Breakfast was buffet style, but with omelets and music on Sunday mornings, but otherwise a standard spread.
