“Best B&B in Rockport, MA”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 October 2011

We returned this year after staying one nite in 2010 and loved everything about Seacrest Manor. Pat makes everyone feel special and goes above and beyond what would be expected of the host. She is more of a friend, as she will make reservations and suggestions, and caters to everyone that stays there. She greets everyone at the front door and makes you feel as if you are visiting a friend. If you forget your umbrella, don't worry, as she had extras. You will not be disappointed if you are concerned, as she will make everything wonderful and special for you. Loved having coffee and reading in the early morning before breakfast (which were wonderful) in the large front room. We were celebrating with friends, their anniversary, my husbands birthday and my signing up for retirement. Pat made us all a special treat. We want to return next year again, maybe at a different time of year. Thank you Pat for all that you do for all that stay with you and hopefully we will again be able to stay with you next year.

“Charming place, charming host, beautiful location”

Can't imagine a better place to stay in Rockport. Even before we arrived, Pat, the innkeeper, made us feel welcome with restaurant suggestions, etc. She greeted us like an old friend. Our room upstairs, with its own deck, was immaculate. The website photos are accurate. In the late afternoon we sat on the deck with a glass of wine (Pat brought us a corkscrew and wineglasses on a tray) and watched the ocean. In the morning after a lovely breakfast (and lots of great coffee) we walked down to the water. I agree with a previous poster: the b&b's in Rockport with "higher" ratings are not nearly as well located. Seacrest Manor is just off one of the main roads into Rockport, but it is quiet and private. An all around lovely place to stay.

Room Tip: choose one of the rooms with a private deck

“The best B&B in Rockport - you won't be disappointed”

We have stayed at many B&Bs, but the Seacrest Manor was the most comfortable and felt like "home" away from home. Most of all, it was very quiet during the day and night when we had the windows open to listen to the nighttime breeze and rain. The Innkeeper Pat was exceptional and accommodating. Upon our arrival she met us at the door, offered to help us with our luggage and held the door open for us each trip we made with our luggage. She noticed we had a bottle of unchilled wine and offered to refrigerate it for us. She assisted us with walking and driving directions, and since we decided to do the footpath along the ocean to Bearskin Neck and the harbor, she offered to come get us if we got caught in the rain. Our room, #6, overlooking the garden was large, with 3 windows, the king bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was big with a wonderful shower/tub. Since we were there during Tropical Storm Lee, rain was plentiful, so Pat made a few recommendations for indoor activities i.e. the Peabody Museum in Salem. On Pat's recommendation we found a great local seafood restaurant to eat at and we more than pleased with the food. Pat's breakfasts were outstanding and plentiful. She also went out of her way to make a "special" treat for my husband's birthday. On a side note: I use Trip Advisor a lot to make informed decisions on the best places to stay, based on others reviews. The Seacrest Manor was not #1, however, I took notes on the top 3 B&Bs in Rockport, and am so glad we didn't stay at any of them because they were all located on busy streets. Secondly, we stayed at another B&B in Rockport last year, not too far from the Seacrest Manor, at a higher rate, which doesn't begin to compare to the Seacrest and I would never stay at again, I know there are many B&Bs in Rockport to choose from, but believe me you won't be disappointed with the Seacrest. We hope to return in the near future.

Room Tip: We loved the location of our room, overlooking the garden, with 3 windows. Didn't need the AC

“A perfect place to be at-I'll be back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2011

Everything was just perfect, the room, the views, the generous breakfast, the entire atmosphere. Very carefully decorated. And most of all, Pat the host with her kindness and generosity - she gave me right away a homey feeling and for me this is mostly important. It helped me to decide to stay there during hurricane Irene - I never regretted that! She and everyone else there made me feel that I won't be left alone with no help if things will turn bad. I'm for sure will come back there.

“Great service and hospitality!”

The room was beautiful - clean, large, nicely decorated and with a great view of the garden. Pat was a lovely host and went out of her way to make our stay great. She recommended restaurants, printed directions, and even brought us out a cheese platter when we were drinking wine on the rooftop deck! She kept our drinks cold in her kitchen fridge and fetched us glasses of cold water when we came back from a run. Breakfast was great - fresh fruit and delicious omelets or eggs done to order.
