We have stayed at many B&Bs, but the Seacrest Manor was the most comfortable and felt like "home" away from home. Most of all, it was very quiet during the day and night when we had the windows open to listen to the nighttime breeze and rain. The Innkeeper Pat was exceptional and accommodating. Upon our arrival she met us at the door, offered to help us with our luggage and held the door open for us each trip we made with our luggage. She noticed we had a bottle of unchilled wine and offered to refrigerate it for us. She assisted us with walking and driving directions, and since we decided to do the footpath along the ocean to Bearskin Neck and the harbor, she offered to come get us if we got caught in the rain. Our room, #6, overlooking the garden was large, with 3 windows, the king bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was big with a wonderful shower/tub. Since we were there during Tropical Storm Lee, rain was plentiful, so Pat made a few recommendations for indoor activities i.e. the Peabody Museum in Salem. On Pat's recommendation we found a great local seafood restaurant to eat at and we more than pleased with the food. Pat's breakfasts were outstanding and plentiful. She also went out of her way to make a "special" treat for my husband's birthday. On a side note: I use Trip Advisor a lot to make informed decisions on the best places to stay, based on others reviews. The Seacrest Manor was not #1, however, I took notes on the top 3 B&Bs in Rockport, and am so glad we didn't stay at any of them because they were all located on busy streets. Secondly, we stayed at another B&B in Rockport last year, not too far from the Seacrest Manor, at a higher rate, which doesn't begin to compare to the Seacrest and I would never stay at again, I know there are many B&Bs in Rockport to choose from, but believe me you won't be disappointed with the Seacrest. We hope to return in the near future.
Room Tip: We loved the location of our room, overlooking the garden, with 3 windows. Didn't need the AC
