“The best place to stay in ptown”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

My boyfriend and I have been coming to Ptown at least twice a year for the past five years. We have stayed at many places including the Crown and Anchor, The Boatslip, and the Harbor Hotel. None of these places can compare to the Carriage House. We stayed for New Year celebrations for three nights from 2011 into 2012. The room was just off the hustle and bustle of commercial street, a short walk from everything. The house and our room was comfortable, inviting, and beautifully decorated. Angus made us feel like we were in our own home. He was helpful, friendly, and very accommodating. We will definitely be staying in the summer this year.

Room Tip: We stayed in deluxe room 6, on the second floor in the corner. Very bright room, with a great view.

“Home away from home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2011

Back to P-town for our annual visit. We love the location-just off Commecial St so we don't get the noise from the crowds, but so close to the center of town. Angus is a wondeful host, and as always, the breakfast was outstanding. We always find the other guests staying there to be very interesting and friendly-many from Europe.

“Great night at the Carriage House”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 October 2011

My husband and I stayed one night at the Carriage House in the Deluxe 6, upstairs corner room. The inn was amazing, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Angus greeted us and was helpful in suggesting a place to eat (the Lobster Pot which I would also suggest and have the white chocolate bread pudding!) and his breakfast was good with homemade waffles, quiche, fruit, toast, etc. The spacious room itself was nicely decorated with a very comfortable bed. The only complaint is that the walls are very thin and you can pretty much hear everything going on below and next to you – I was so nicely woken up at 5:30am to our neighbor talking on the phone for over an hour. Parking is very limited but a spot was included in with our room which is why we chose that particular room. The location is slightly off of the main street which was perfect for cutting out noise but you could still easily walk to the restaurants and shops. I was very pleased with the quality of the Carriage House compared to the price and would very much recommend it to anyone.

“Lovely weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2011

Last minute booking for a long weekend, and Carriage House looked good and was available. Was even better than we expected. Angus greeted and familiarized us with the place. Complimentary soft drinks, coffee, and tea were nice touches. Our room was nicely sized and very, very clean. Breakfast was one of the best parts of the weekend, as the food was delicious and our fellow guests were happy to chat over their meals with us. Great location off Commercial Street. Would return in a heart beat.

“Excellent stay for a first time P-town couple.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 September 2011

My partner and I came to P-town mid week of mid-September of 2011 and booked our accommodations very last minute. The inn-keeper, Angus, was friendly and helpful through our whole experience. His breakfasts were excellent. Very good quiche and waffles, plus pastries and fresh fruit. Great coffee and sodas were available all day. The room (a very reasonable $135 a night) was comfortable, clean and very nice. The property was only a half a block from Commercial Street and was very quiet. P-town was much quieter than we had expected at this time of year, but everything we desired was still available, just not many others around.
