We were in Provincetown last week (3-5 December 2004) and can report that Esther's is a fantastic guesthouse. The helpful staff (thanks for everything, Ginger!), lovely decor and furnishings, the prime location and gorgeous surroundings, all made our visit one to remember. Everything was spotless, and extremely well maintained. We stayed in the Beach Forrest room overlooking the main street and the bay, and loved gazing out at the view from our own private sitting room. Complimentary breakfast was thrown in too! Sure it was quiet, being off season, and only one other room was occupied that weekend, but we felt very much at home and enjoyed having the place to ourselves. Why wouldn't we? We would thoroughly recommend Esther's and certainly wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, in season or off season. In fact, we just can't wait to visit P-Town again - we LOVED it there. Here's a hint for anyone contemplating a visit in the colder months: the Provincetown storekeepers all offer amazing sale prices just prior to their closure over the winter (usually after the first weekend in December) - in most places there are savings of more than 40% on ticket price, and the most amazing bargains are just waiting to be snapped up!
