I have stayed at many hostels, on the Cape and around europe.....but this was truly a bad experience! The price was right, but as a woman, I fely very very uncomfortable and unsafe. There are people who aren't even staying there coming in and out all night....a man came into my room at 2am...I will not stay there again, and would never recommend that anyone stays there unless you like the party scene all night long.
The owner was very nice upon checking in, but shrugged off my complaints in the morning. There are much nicer, cleaner, safer hostels on the cape, worth the extra $3 .

“First time in a hostel left me hooked...”

Just recently graduating with a bachelor's degree, I felt that it had been time to explore a part of Massachusetts that I had spent very little time in. I decided that Provincetown was my destination. Looking over the hotels in the area, they were a little too pricey for me so I decided to look for a hostel. The Outermost Hostel was the only hostel in Provincetown, so I decided to give it a try. At only $19 a night, it sounded too good to be true. But, my experience there was fantastic. It truly made my 3-day P-Town vacation golden. I especially enjoyed the homey cabin type dorms and the quaint kitchen. And, the owner of the hostel was more than kind. If you are looking for a place to stay that is both relaxing and yet allows you to feel free to do your own thing, then the Outermost Hostel is the place for you. And, if you feel a little strange about visiting a "gay" town like P-Town, don't be because most of the gay-ness is behind walls and not out in the open. My only complaint is that the hostel is not open year-round, or else I would consider making it my home for a while. I mean, at $19 bucks a day or about $600 a month, fully furnished, how can u beat it? Oh, well, maybe this review will influence that thought. That'd be swell!!!
