Two of us in spacious room...water pressure in shower not so good...could be the showerhead is to big for what comes out. Friendly Front Desk and you can't beat the location or T-Dance! We were facing Commercial but noise not an issue. Book here!

Pros- beautiful bayfront view! Sitting on the deck to the noise of the waves of the bay is just so relaxing. In addition there is a pool and a bar!

Cons- don't expect to receive expert info prior to arrival. I got a one line response which didn't answer my questions. Still, this aside, I'd still pick the Boatslip!

I picked this hotel because there was parking as I was driving down the street. I am not sorry that I did pick it as I stayed 2 nights here. The afternoon tea party was loud but it did not bother me. It was a real walkable place to station oneself. We knew that Provincetown was a Gay Friendly town and we did not feel out of place too much. The hotel is notably a Gay Friendly place and everyone treated us as we would like to be treated. It appeared that we were the only straight couple at the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice view of the harbor. The continental breakfast with muffins, orange juice, coffee and other items was very basic and we went out to breakfast instead. There was beach access accept at tea party time when we had to go about 1/2 block to get access to a basic sandy narrow beach. I would go back here again. I did think that it was a bit pricey but not overwhelming.

The newly renovated BoatSlip is wonderful. The entire staff is so professional and friendly! The towels and bedding are all brand new and sumptuous. You will not be disappointed. They also serve continental breakfast.

Room tip: The rooms are all air conditioned.

Over the years I have stayed here a number of times but it had been about 5 years since my last stay. I am happy to report the rooms are now air-conditioned and most of the furnishing have been updated. Still basic accommodations, clean room, comfortable beds, bathroom is nothing fancy but it is clean and very functional, fyi there is a very high step getting into the bathroom in some of the rooms...............careful not to miss it on the way out. Staff very helpful fast efficient check-in/out. If someone in your party is arriving later they wait till they arrive to give you the second key, they check everyone's ID I'm good with that from a security standpoint. They have also updated the locks to a "chip" system.

I know its expensive for a basic room but you get great views (on the waterside) and all guests are admitted free to the daily Tea Dance and they have the best pool/deck area in Provincetown. If you haven't stayed here you should give it a try.

Room tip: Pay the extra for a waterside room, a bit loud during tea dance but the view is so worth it.
