“Wonderful stay”

Stayed for 4 nights in July 2011 with my boyfriend and loved it. Because we booked the rooms relatively last-minute, we had to move rooms halfway through, but it wasn't a problem. The staff took care of our bags and moving rooms while we were out enjoying the town/beach.

The breakfasts were just ridiculous (and I mean that in a good way). Peanut butter and jelly stuffed french toast was just one example of the over-the-top scrumptiousness (sp?) that was served every morning!

The house itself is a beautiful old traditional house with traditional decor, and it's right on the main drag. If your looking for all modern/contemporary amenities, this may not be your thing, but this was the perfect little refuge for us during our 4 days in town.

“Loved it!”

We spent two nights in the first floor room with King Bed. The room was large, with an additional sun/sitting room. The fridge was stocked with free water and soda. There was a large selection of free videos, with reviews written by Dan or Bob. Breakfast was delicious, with both familiar and surprising choices. One morning we had french toast stuffed with peanut butter and jelly. It was amazing. In the evening, there is local wine available, free of course, in the common sitting room. Bob provided suggestions for dinner. Even in November, there are a number of great restaurants, stores and a cinema. We were within an easy walk from the beach, and I was able to run 10 miles from the Inn to the bike trail and further. I don't know how far the trail goes, but I had to turn back before it ended. We had a wonderful, though too short, visit.

“Somerset House”

This is the second time we have stayed at Somerset House. It is a beautiful house with wonderful relaxing rooms. The rooms were neat and clean as was the shared space. Breakfast is served and it was wonderful. A great start to the day. The house is very close to the main area of activity on Commercial Street and yet far enough away to have a relaxing night sitting on the porch under the stars. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Great place to stay.

There is an old saying, you can't pick your family but you can pick your friends. I consider Bob and Dan to be friends. We have been staying with them at the Somerset House Inn for the last five years. The last two we have been staying in room #4 at the top of the stairs with a wonderful view of Commercial Street and Provincetown harbor. The breakfasts are fantastic, the social hour is great to catch up with new and old friends. We meet some friends from Canada there each year on both our anniversaries. A perfect location, just park the car and walk around P-Town all weekend. Nice and quiet but close to the center of town and some great shopping. Free parking and free internet. We will be back next year for our 20th anniversary!

Room Tip: If you want exceptionally quiet take one of the rooms on the second floor in the rear. A nice large...

“Excellent Service”

This is our fourth year staying with Bob and Dan, what can I say, the food it to die for, the accommodations wonderful and our hosts always willing to go that extra mile to help their guests.

This year I launched my book party there for my first novel "Redemption". Bob opened up the parlor for the readings and provided amenities as well. This place is centrally located to all the action in town, don't miss it.

Two great guys and we'll be back next year to do it all over again.
