“Would not stay again”

On the plus side, the motel is economical and has a much more flexible stay policy - ie. it does not require nightly minimums as most of the other lodging options do. It also has a pool - a rarity in PTown. Since we were only there 3 nights, we chose it b/c we didn't have alot of other options. On the minus side: motel is very run down, rooms/bedding don't feel clean. Peeling wallpaper, rust in the bathrooms, about the only thing new since I am guessing the Fifties was the carpet. It's far from town (hence the "low" price for this resort town). Desk staff not very friendly or helpful. You would do much, much better (for not alot more $) if you can meet a 4-night minimum staying in a cozy B&B closer to town. Won't go again. To boot, cell service was horrible.

“Ive stayed here before and will stay again”

I stayed here a few years back and stayed here a few days ago. I live here on Cape Cod and get to Provincetown quite a bit. Normally We get a pet sitter but being that this overnight stay was last minute we looked into pet friendly options and the Cape Colony came up. The last time I stayed here it was outdated but not anymore. The place has been updated and the rooms are big, clean, quiet and fairly affordable for Provincetown in season. The staff could not have been nicer and we will without a doubt stay here again. The location is in the east end of town and I would def bring bikes like we did for a quicker way into the center of town. Oh and I checked no bed bugs and no musty smell either.

“not too bad for a night or two in P-Town”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 July 2011

Given the reviews on TA, I expected the worst from the CCI. However, it really wasn't bad. We stayed here one-night during the 4th of July weekend as there was no minimum stay requirement and they accepted dogs.

Even though the room was outdated, it was very clean. The bathroom was spotless, the sheets and pillows were fine, and the carpeting looked fairly new.

Our room was on the second floor and it had a gigantic window that let in a lot of light. The layout of the room (beds in front room and closet/sink/bathroom in back room) made it feel spacious enough for us, and we had 4 adults and a dog (including a large dog crate).

There is plenty of outdoor space/grassy areas for walking a dog or for hanging out. The pool area had a nice stone patio surround, which gave the pool area a modern and clean look.

There was complementary coffee, tea, cereal, muffins etc. in the morning. The woman at the front desk was pleasant. We recognized one employee, Jack, from our stay 10+ years ago. He was very friendly and even took our keys from us in the morning, saving us from having to stop in the office to check out.

If I were spending more than a few nights in P-Town I might not stay here again but given all there is to do in and around P-Town I think it is fine for a night or two.

“UNFRIENDLY EXPERIENCE!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 May 2011

The guy working on Memorial Day morning was less than desirable. He made us feel uncomfortable having free coffee and would not reciprocate when attempting to make small chat. He was unfriendly and seemed irritated when asked for assistance to locate a lost item. Its a shame since I've been a repeat customer for many years. His attitude and rudeness is something that I don't want to remember on Memorial Day.

“Avoid if possible”

This motel is truly disgusting. Rooms have a bad odor. Carpets are dirty. It's barely adequate. Compared to other lodging in Provincetown, the cost is reasonable. That would be the only reason to go there.
