“A great winter deal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 February 2011

At the last minute I decided I needed to get away for a few days during the Feb. school vacation. When I called Waterford Inn they offered me a premier room at a discount price. The suite was beautiful; it had a sitting room with big sunny windows, the bed was very comfortable, and the restaurant attached to the inn was outstanding. Everyone was really friendly and helpful and they even found me a DVD player so I could watch a movie one evening. Although many stores were closed some were open, the beach walks were gorgeous, the art museum had an attractive show and the peace and quiet was priceless. I recommend this Inn to anyone who would like great winter R & R at a reasonable price.

“The Waterford Inn is a delight!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 February 2011

We stayed here over Valentine's Day weekend, and couldn't have been happier. The 150 year old inn has been recently renovated, but maintains all of its classic charm. We stayed in a cozy suite on the 3rd floor with an amazing view of P-town. The bar and restaurant are lovely and serve great food and drinks. Our hosts Al and Jim were friendly and gracious, as were their staff. Their kind consideration and attention to detail made for a perfect weekend.

In short, The Waterford is a delightful B&B in an ideal location. Another reviewer called it a "hidden gem"... but the way these guys do things, it won't be hidden for long!

“Special place in the middle of PTown”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 February 2011

The inn has lots of charm, room decor is extremely tasteful and the innkeeper could not be more hospitable. We were here for a winter weekend getaway The Waterford Inn was perfect. The inn is in the center of town, yet set back enough with water views which make it ideal. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Very good restaurant is part of the Inn and since it is open year-round it has a lively evening life which adds a lot during a winter weekend.
Thank you Al for your hospitality!

“I can't wait to go back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2011

And as the Phoenix rises from the ashes, so does the Waterford Inn. We stayed there this past weekend and had a wonderful time, even in the dead of winter! I have wanted to stay there for many years based only on its beautiful appearance alone. When it was formerly known as "Levels", I was advised not to stay there being told that the service and condition of the Inn was worse than the quality of the food they were serving - and that was pretty bad. ( Did you ever walk out on a grilled pizza?) Under the guidance of its new owner Al Gordon, who is a real hoot by the way, the Waterford Inn is one class act. The Inn is charming, clean, comfortable and welcoming, not ostentatious as some tend to be. Both the inn and restaurant have 12" wide plank floors, stained glass windows and gorgeous woodworking’s which make for a lovely backdrop while relaxing by the sea or dining by the fire on the fabulous cuisine created by their new chef. And then there is the staff, you couldn't ask for nicer or more accommodating people. Staying there was like visiting family - you know, the ones that you really like? the ones that know how to cook , can pour a good cocktail and have a really nice house! Don't miss this place, it's a great place to be anytime of year.

“The Waterford Inn and Restaurant is Provincetown's Hidden Gem.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 November 2010

The Waterford is Provincetown's best kept secret! My friends and I agree that it's a hidden gem located on the quiet end of Commercial St. (for a peaceful sleep in the guest rooms) but only a 10 minute walk from the Commercial Street Ferry Terminal. You can grab a strong drink at the bar and indulge in a 5-star meal with decadent desserts (we had blueberry crisp and chocolate molten cake homemade by a top dessert chef -- it was so delicious that I wanted to lick my plate.)

I've stayed overnight twice during the past several months and both times, the service was excellent for both the restaurant/bar and the overnight guest rooms.

1) GUEST ROOMS: The guest rooms are clean and charming with luxury linens and high end amenities: iPod docking station, quiet and new heater/AC units, large flat panel TVs, etc. Plus, you get a free continental breakfast in the morning.

The website photos don't do this beautiful inn justice -- there's a gorgeous courtyard and garden that you walk through to get to the inn. It's the perfect place to sit outside and enjoy breakfast. During cold weather, you can enjoy the courtyard view from the indoor breakfast room.

2) RESTAURANT/BAR: I've eaten in top quality restaurants all over the world, and I consider the Waterford to be amongst my favorite restaurants. My friend gave me a taste of his cod, which was so fresh and perfectly cooked that it melted in my mouth. I ordered the scallops and they were so sweet and tender that I almost ordered a second helping to bring home, except I wasn't going home for 2 days and it wouldn't keep well. We shared the broiled oysters prepared with homemade pesto. We used our leftover bread from the bread basket to sop up the leftover pesto -- absolutely divine!

I watched a party of 25 people arrive and was impressed that the service staff pulled off a flawless dinner for them. I thought that maybe my meal would be delayed as a result of the large party, but I was pleasantly surprised to see (and taste!) my meal delivered quickly. It was so delicious that I was still thinking about it the next day.

The Waterford would be the perfect place to vacation and relax, and it's only a 3 minute walk to the beach and hustle/bustle of downtown Provincetown.
