And as the Phoenix rises from the ashes, so does the Waterford Inn. We stayed there this past weekend and had a wonderful time, even in the dead of winter! I have wanted to stay there for many years based only on its beautiful appearance alone. When it was formerly known as "Levels", I was advised not to stay there being told that the service and condition of the Inn was worse than the quality of the food they were serving - and that was pretty bad. ( Did you ever walk out on a grilled pizza?) Under the guidance of its new owner Al Gordon, who is a real hoot by the way, the Waterford Inn is one class act. The Inn is charming, clean, comfortable and welcoming, not ostentatious as some tend to be. Both the inn and restaurant have 12" wide plank floors, stained glass windows and gorgeous woodworking’s which make for a lovely backdrop while relaxing by the sea or dining by the fire on the fabulous cuisine created by their new chef. And then there is the staff, you couldn't ask for nicer or more accommodating people. Staying there was like visiting family - you know, the ones that you really like? the ones that know how to cook , can pour a good cocktail and have a really nice house! Don't miss this place, it's a great place to be anytime of year.
