This is not the Anchor Inn circa 2005, when I first became acquainted with this hotel and knew it as ~the~ luxury inn of Provincetown. The Anchor Inn of today is in need of significant renovations/upgrades and it also needs a management team that is much more professional and customer service oriented. I stayed here over New Years, and while it wasn't all bad, I was very disappointed by the condition of the room (really dirty carpeting) and incredibly thin walls, which allowed me to hear my neighbors coming home in the wee hours, waking me up, among other things. There are positives: it's a great location and the bed and linens were very comfortable. But if you're looking for a real luxury experience (or as close as it gets in P-town), with a professional staff who treat you like a real guest, there are better choices.
