Unless you are fond of alternating cold and scalding showers, very slippery tile floors and towels so small and thin as to be useless, AVOID this place!
Immediately upon arrival, we found that our electronic room keys did NOT work. Maybe that was a sign that we should stay outside? Maybe the carpet was recently cleaned because it was DAMP. Upon getting into the mushy bed, we had to dry our feet with the sheets.
The outdoor carpeting smells from chlorine bleach, but from others in our group, we hear that might be an improvement. We were told by others that the place stank upon arrival. Maybe it was washed down while we were at dinner.
Sorry to be redundant, but I love to warm my aching back with (reasonably) hot water while I shampoo my hair. This place has an obviously older water system. One of those that does NOT provided a consistent flow of hot water such that you get 30-40 degree fluctuations in the temperature of the shower water. Luckily for me, my wife had preceeded me in the shower and warned me. IF you are not careful, for you MUST have the temperature knob cranked nearly to 100% hot for a normal shower, you can be scalded!
I do not kmow why or how, but the tiles that extend from the bathroom to the vanity area seem to have a film of something that is dangerously slippery. REMEMBER that I said the carpet appeared damp? WHAT A COMBINATION! Damp feet and a very slippery floor.
I must say that the staff here were wonderful and tried hard to accommodate, BUT that does not make up for the physical fallings.
This place has only ONE positive attribute: a view of the Mayflower replica and Plymouth Bay.
Plymouth, MA looks like a nice place to visit, but we will not be here long enough to judge.
Until and unless they COMPLETLY renovate this DUMP, avoid it!
