Pros:
- Low price
- Accepted AAA
- Excellent "free" breakfast with rolls, bagels, muffins, eggs. bacon, waffles, coffee
Cons:
- Waited 20 minutes at least with several other guests for someone to show up so we could check -in.
- During a snowy, icy weekend the motel didn't salt, sand or otherwise treat its snowy icy walks. The walkways were precarious. The driveway was inaccessible; in the morning we tried three times to move the car from the lower overflow lot to the upper lot by the lobby. We could not get traction on the icy driveway.
- Our daughter had apple juice with breakfast. It was fermenting and had a yeasty smell. When brought to the attention of the people behind the counter, they had no comment, not did seem to do anything.
- The walls and ceiling were paper-thin. We could hear everything that was going on in the room next to ours, the hallway, which children were using as a running track, and when the people on the third floor room above us walked around in their room.
- We had a room with an electrical fireplace which looked very nice, but didn't work.
- We will not return to the Comfort Inn- Pittsfield.
There are a lot of other chain and family- owned motels in the region, on Rt 7/20, in the Pittsfield/ Lenox area, when we are going to be in western Massachusetts again we will stay in one of the others.
