The Crowne Plaza is very centrally located in downtown Pittsfield. All amenities are within walking distance, including restaurants and shops. The Staff was very courteous. I travelled with my father, who needed a handicapped-amenable room. Front desk was very helpful in that refard. Room was big, furniture a bit dated. Quiet corner room on the 6th Floor. Nice pool and jacuzzi, altho there were too many little kids running around. Garage is partly being renovated. Not the most convenient lot, plus there's that $6 parking fee (waived for handicapped visitors, by the way). All in all, a nice, friendly place.

Every time I stay here, the service gets better. Grace is a wonderful host and goes above and beyond her job to make sure my stay is as pleasant as it can be. My room is always ready, even when I check in early, and they don't fuss when I have to check out late. Whether it is an overnight trip or a week long stay, I always feel welcome and well taken care of.

We weren't thrilled with the bathroom ... shower needed to be cleaned better, but the staff was over the top good!

Spent the evening in Pittsfield while seeing a relative in a theatre production at the Colonial. While the hotel was within walking distance to the theatre, I still can't figure out what else would warrant the over $200.00 a night fee. We were charged $6.00 for parking and the room had no microwave or fridge. The staff was friendly, the room clean and the bed super comfy, but the whole experience seemed very overpriced to me, especially when you consider that the town itself seemed a bit odd. Although there didn't seem to be a good selection of hotels in the area, I would definitely look elsewhere if I need to make another trip.
