We stayed at the Berkshire Inn from Friday, July 8, 2011 through Tuesday, July 12, 2011. We left Wednesday morning, July 13, 2011.
Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The bed was excellent; the shower was wonderful. The room had a refrigerator, TV, and microwave, all in good working order.
Staff maintained the room perfectly, so that it was always immaculate. It was also pleasant and comfortable.
There is also a pool, which is totally inviting.
The Berkshire Inn is in the center of Pittsfield, and is close to anything anyone would want to do in Pittsfield, and thus is also very convenient to nearby attractions in Williamstown and Lenox.
The cost of the room was reasonable compared to the cost of other facilities in the area during the summer season.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Berkshire Inn. We made our reservations with Mr. and Mrs. Perrin. They run a fine facility.
My husband & I dropped into this motel on the last night of a July 4th road trip. The mattress was comfortable, the rates were inexpensive, the bathroom was very clean & there was ample hot water - exactly what was called for after a long day. We try to stay away from chain hotels in the hope that we'll have more of the delightful, un-homogenized experiences that places like the Berkshire Inn provide. Indeed, the bathroom tile was the predictable pink! But also the staff was friendly and the rate was extremely reasonable for a holiday weekend. The feel is a well cared for, retro motel with cars at the curb in front of your room and a swimming pool in the center. The walls could stand to be thicker and it would have been nice to have screens in the windows. Otherwise, this little motel was exactly as it should be.
Got a good price for a room with 2 beds and pull out couch in the Berkshires during the summer season. Clean and comfortable place - would stay again when visiting area
Older, traditional, locally-owned motel which will strike some as a charming throwback, others as tired. I found it OK for a brief stopover: convenient to downtown Pittsifield (but quiet location), well-maintained, and reasonably priced by Berkshire standards. Only real problem was that I heard more of my neighbors' conversation through the thin walls than they (or I) would have wished - and the $2. charge for wifi seemed both picayune and hardly worth the effort to collect.
