We were looking for a place to stay overnight - it was getting late. So we called them directly - still had available rooms. Original quote was good anyway, but got a discount upon arrival. Super-nice owner, helpful - even brought us a microwave to heat up kids' stuff. Great value for the money - definitely recommended :)

BEWARE

upon our arrival, we were charged $10.00 over the quoted phone price..And the deposit for our 4-lb dog was not returned because (He saw our dog laying on the bed quilt (since we travel often, i always bring the dogs blanket with us, which he was on at the time) motel quilts are way to dirty in general for even pets. There was no internet connection, (as promised) so my husband was not able to contact the airline he works for, during a hurricane on cape cod. But the worst things was the fright trains, that passed out back every 4 hours day and night, (every day and night ) all weekend. friendly, they were not.........so don't think about asking for a heater.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DRIVE PASSED THIS ONE

This past weekend myself and three other families went to the berkshires for a horseshow. The minor issues were that the place smelled musty, the beds were rock hard and I found a condom box in the bedside drawer with three children sitting there. The major issues were the fire hazards that developed for one of my friends. I am sure they will post it here.
I would not recommend this place or ever stay here again. It is not the heart of the berkshires but the butt of the berkshires.

Have stayed three times over the past three years, visiting my son at camp. I think it has changed ownership in the past year. While nothing terribly wrong, nothing terribly right either, so like I say, it's fine for an overnight, but not for an extended vacation. I felt corners were cut; no alarm clocks, for example. Decor, and bathroom a bit seedy. They were doing a litte renovation outside, and odds and ends were left around. Trust me, I am not spoiled, and know what to expect and not to expect from a budget motel....at the same time,a few more tiny ameneties like these would be nice and not a huge expense. That said, it was clean, and we had a night's sleep, and were on our way. I just like to support independent businesses, and am gratified when they do their best to give you your money's worth.
