“Stayed here for a trip to Salem... Happy I did!”

I decided to go to Salem by myself in October right before a business trip I was making anyway in the area. I stayed at this hotel and was very happy.

While the drive to Salem was about 15 minutes, it was easy to do. In the future if I go back to Salem at that time of year I will stay in Salem as parking is atrocious if you drive to Salem for the day.

The hotel was clean and easy to find. The staff were friendly. My room was very comfortable. The free breakfast was just okay. There wasn't a lot of selection and some of the food looked like it was a little ripe and had been sitting out for a little too long.

The parking was free and the hotel is all suites so you have a kitchenette if you want to make anything yourself.

I didn't go in the pool, but it was clean from the outside.

The free internet wasn't the best. I could get online with my iPad but not my computer for some reason.

I would recommend this as a good place to say for anyone visiting Peabody or Salem. It is right on the highway to it is easily connected to all local areas.

Rooms are nice and large. People were friendly and helpful. Good attitudes.

“OK”

Hotel was the only available for a family getaway to Salem. Everthing was OK, beds were not comfortable at all. Staff was decent, breakfast was free and plenty of choices so that was a plus. Was out in the lobby having a few drinks (bought right there) with my brother in-law and security told us we couldn't drink in the lobby. Staff didn't care so it was probably just bad timing on our part but it ruined a nice nightcap while the kids were in bed.

Also, everyone says not to drive into Salem becuase you won't find a parking place. It was going to cost $45 (4ppl) to take a rountrip shuttle and I like to drive anyway. Both days found parking in the public parking garage for about $10 the first day and a flat rate of $20 the next which was the Saturday before Halloween weekend.

“'"Ummmmm"”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2011

There are pros and cons about this hotel.
I was going to boston, and knew I didn't want to stay in the city. As this was between, Salem and Boston I thought this would be a nice place. It really isn't a great area for trying to catch the "T". It looked like it was in between the orange and blue line. However to get to one of these stations it takes about 15 minutes and you have to drive on small town roads. It wasn't that much of a problem and really anything is better than driving into Boston.

Like most places in Boston and the vicinity, it is an older hotel. But I could tell that theyhave an organized staff and try to keep up with the place. I am a hotel agent, so can recognize certain things about a hotel that some people may not. They are keeping updating and doing a lot of preventive maintenance. This was a plus.

Breakfast was the same thing everyday would have liked a little bit different variety, but it was a mixture of hot and cold so "OK".

The front desk agents were okay, not the most helpful group, but again this could be my own perception, since i spend so much time behind a front desk myself.

The pool was great, indoor with a hot tub.

The rooms have microwave and mini fridge, very nice to have.
BUT the beds are UNCOMFORTABLE. These beds were those memory foam pads. Very hot and in my opinion flat. It was too soft and at times I could feel the boxspring underneath as I was trying to sleep.

So this is an average hotel, basically based on the BAD BEDS and the location is not very Boston/Salem friendly as other hotels are.

“Great Place to Stay.”

We stayed here this past weekend. The hotel is close to Salem which was the purpose of our visit. We decided not to rent a car and the hotel was close enough to Salem that we took a taxi to and from Salem. The hotel is quiet. The staff are very helpful and the breakfast is GREAT. It is also a full breakfast with eggs, sausage, cereals, waffles and more. The hotel was quiet and very clean. Great place to stay that is close to Salem.
