“Great Memories Revisited”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2011

Last stayed at the Seashore Park back when I was a teenager in the 70s...first time back in 33 years...and so happy to see that what had to be updated was...what didn't need to change, wasn't. Spotlessly clean...and love the convenience of the efficiency suite (stove-top, microwave, fridge, cutlery and plates), with a cozy sitting area with a 2nd tv and a sofa....ground floor walk-out to sit...and during the fall months, a soothing, calming cross-breeze by opening the front and back windows. Kidney-shaped indoor pool, not too hot/not too cold..whirlpool tub...and a friendly, accommodating staff -- Bernie and Dave carry on the tradition of the GM who made this inn so welcoming and memorable in the 70s, the late Bob Troy. Great location, across the street from miniature golf, a relaxing walk down to Main Street Orleans, and walking distance as well to at least a half dozen restaurants from fast food to more upscale dining at the Orleans Inn. Will gladly recommend the Seashore Park to anyone who wants to be in the centre of it all on the Cape...have always preferred the Orleans/Eastham area...such a variety of different beach experiences within a short drive away -- Coast Guard Beach, First Encounter on Cape Cod Bay, Great Pond in Eastham, the deep-sea fishing fleet at Rock Harbor...it is rare that something is still great after 30 years. The Seashore Park Inn and the Orleans/Eastham area meet that standard and more!

“Already put our deposit down for next summer!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2011

Motel has outdoor pool and indoor pool with a hot tub that the kids loved! Walking distance to several nice restaurants, gift shops, bike rentals and miniature golf. Short ride to both a bayside and an oceanside beaches. We go to Orleans every summer, this was our first time at the Seashore Park Inn and from now on it's where we'll stay every summer! Only thing is the continental breakfast was the same food for the entire 7 days, we would have liked some variety.

“Far from the best I've been to on the Cape...”

The good things about the Seashore Park Inn: decent cable TV channel selection, bigger than average fridge in the room, continental breakfast, indoor and outdoor pools, and game room, with mini-golf, Wendy's, and fresh seafood/ice cream right next door.

That being said: this establishment is every bit a motel (not an "inn"), is very dated, is poorly marked and lighted (couldn't find it in the dark, as none of the roadside signs are lit). The sliding doors to a deck or patio in each room have no screen, so they can't be left open to enjoy the fresh air; instead, one must run the very old and noisy air conditioner.

The bath fixtures are very old (1970s if not older). there is no shade/curtain on the jalousie-window room door, so the exterior lights shine right into the room until 4:45 a.m. when they go out automatically. And the multi-purpose instant coffee/decaf/hot water dispenser produces the worst coffee in the world.

Room Tip: Get a room on the Canal Road side -- all others are along Route 6, and the traffic is steady.

I'm always interested to read what our guests' post online regarding their stay here at our hotel.
I know how much people expect -- especially when they're spending their hard earned money and free time here with us.
There is of course always room for improvement--which is why the owners and I continue to reinvest both time and money into updating and improving our facility-- on a both a short and long term basis.
However I don't understand why guests' feel compelled to write & post "reviews" which are really critiques -and choose to accentuate the negative.
I know from speaking to our many guests(we have had over 1400+ room nights this August alone)--alot of them repeats who come every year--that we do offer a good value at a fair price-
We certainly acknowledge that we are not the newest -or fanciest hostelry on Cape Cod--but I know from reasearching our competition-- that some of the newer chain/franchise competitors(who also use the word "Inn" in their names) nearby charge a nightly rate which is 3X what we charge our guests.
I'm not sure that our many satisfied customers would feel that a new bathroom faucet would increase their vacation enjoyment-- by $200 per night --when ours are still clean and functional.
I believe-- especially in light of todays economic conditions --that the overwhelming majority of our customers leave here satisfied in the knowledge that we do provide a clean room, have a friendly & helpful staff --and provide anl excellent value overall-- for the $-
We have been in business here in Orleans for over 45 years-- because continue to provide somthing that our many guest's value--and the staff and I look forward to welcoming many more satisfied customers --who choose to focus on the part of the glass which is full--rather than the empty part-

“Great Cape Motel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 August 2011

Let me start of by saying, I'm not giving this 4 stars because it was an amazing luxury hotel, I'm giving it high marks because it met our needs. Read on to see if it meets yours.

First of all, this is a motel. This isn't fancy by any means and the rooms and property shows some signs of age. However, for what we used it for it was perfect. We were having a wedding nearby (I was the groom) and we had 38 rooms at this motel for our guests.

While the rooms weren't fancy, the beds were fine, they all came with refrigerator, had working AC, and were well cleaned daily. The outdoor pool, while not luxurious, was nice to have for people to relax at or go for a dip. They also have an indoor pool, though I didn't use it.

Breakfast was fairly basic, and chances are you'll want something more substantial, but not bad to grab something quick.

They even let us use the breakfast area, which is isolated from the rest of the motel for a small after party after our wedding. This was great for the guests to be able to mingle after and kept us quiet and away from other guests who were sleeping. I thought this was great and really appreciated them doing this.

Finally, its conveniently located, walking distance to mini golf, ice cream, and some restaurants. It's a bit of a far walk, but we even walked to Orleans Center for dinner one night.

All in all, I'd say it was a good value and met our needs well. I'd recommend if you are staying in the area during the summer and seeking a motel. And if you have a wedding nearby, I'd definitely recommend using this place as a home base for your guests.

“Cape Cod Wedding Trip”

Perfect housing for all out of town guests for a Cape Cod wedding.
Plenty of parking. Great pools. Location, location, location.
Exceptional service by all hotel employees. Provided a diningroom and set up assistance for an "eleventh hour" relocation of a rained out rehearsal dinner.

Above and beyond response to every need and desire!
A pleasure to stay here.

Room Tip: First floor suites recently refurbished.
