You get what you pay for: Lousy shower and an old TV. There are better motels in the Orleans area.

We stayed at the cottages in September. It was just what we needed as we were traveling with friends who we staying at a nearby campground. This was a four day hike/bike/canoe trip for us so the location was convenient for all our activities. We were able to cook our breakfast and make lunches for our day trips. For the end of the season, we thought that the cottage was in very good shape with ongoing preparation for the 2012 season. The owner was a very nice gentleman who we enjoyed talking with. You can't beat the price.

The cottages were comfortable and reasonably clean considering it is the end of the summer season. I would guess they will all be scheduled for a DEEP CLEAN in the off season. The grounds could use some clean-up, but then Hurricane Irene had payed a visit to the Cape. We used the cottage for a base of operation for a busy family wedding week. The location was ideal.

We stayed at the Ridgewood Motel the week of Sept. 11-13th. The motel is a nice small one where the owners live on site. Stan, the owner, was great he was always around and answered any question we had. Since this was our first time visit to the Cape it was nice to have someone give us ideas on what we should see. The grounds are really nice, lots of outdoor areas to sit and relax. The free coffee and pastries were a nice touch. We will be back and would recommend this motel to our friends and family.
